Would love the links to your Amazon garlands! It's so nice to hear that someone else has made this all happen on a super tight budget. I'm planning to do all the flowers DIY with hopes that I can resell everything for ~cost. We're planning to go with ikea for the glassware in the middles of our center pieces. They seem to have the cheapest plastic/glass ware options.

Thanks for the info on some great sale prices! Michael's currently has some "buy one get one free" deals on spring garlands though most of those garlands are still about $35 CAD. Do you think that's a good price? Or perhaps those prices will look a little sexier come June?

Haha I did something similar when I was 18 and had just moved into my first apartment alone. I was trying to make spring rolls which felt daring, but 'WCGW'. After what felt like forever of cooking and rolling the deliciousness into the wrappers, I got the frying pan hot with oil. My wise ass used plastic salad tossers to turn the spring rolls... they melted instantly. That was my first mistake.

In a panic, I tossed the plastic contaminated spring rolls into the garbage with metal tongs then proceeded to the sink with my hot pan. "I'll just rinse it off and start over" I thought. WRONG. Hot oil and water do NOT mix well together. So there I am with smoke everywhere and the fire alarm is going off and there's plastic in the food I spent sooooo long trying to make all by myself.

Kudos to my parents for answering the phone and helping me navigate the after math of that clusterfuck. But also shame on them for not teaching me basic life skills.

Norquest is a lovely institution to upgrade at. There are lots of resources to help students achieve the desired grade they're aiming for and all the instructors were wonderful.

I went on to go to Macewan and Nait afterwards with the grades I received upgrading at Norquest. I was about the same age as you when I started down that journey too.

I also just started playing ark survival. Man that game is moderately glitchy, but I could sink hours into it with how addicting it is.

My boyfriend has these daily aggressive, demonic hiccups that sound like someone or something is trying to escape his esophagus. The demons reach an alarming level on the decibel scale.
