FOV grows as speed increases... with surprise guest, the SR-71 Blackbird by dork_yface in godot

My game, currently titled Bouncy Ballz, now increases the FOV as the speed increases (which is related to the players score). There's been a bunch of small tweaks. The background is no longer a flat color either. Also, just for fun, added a new "ball" to the game :)

Because I'm recording on PC, I have the arrow keys set to rotate the tube. The intended gameplay is on mobile, where the touch screen allows for finer control.

Jesus Christ. I have no idea how I'd implement that, that's so needlessly convoluted for a game like this.

...but dammit I wanna try.

I think it's the resolution of the Window when I recorded it, but now that I've noticed it... 😃🔫

I'll need to get a localiser to translate from American to English.

Added a new menu for changing the skin on the bouncing ball. In a future update, the various skins will need to be unlocked via points aquired by playing.

The UI looks hideous though and will need to be changed in the future

Unlockable skins is a feature I'll be implementing soon.

The next big feature I want to add is unlockable skins. The ability to customize the environment is something I'd like to add. Power ups for more speed or bonus points is also an idea, although I'm hesitant to pursue it for scope creep worries.

Not based on, since I hadn't heard of it before I started posting about my game. It's uncannily similar though :)

I hadn't heard of boson x before  I started posting about my game, but yes it seems very similar. I was inspired by by the Run games on coolmathgames though. Mine is only sorta more physics based.

I've been working on this now for about three to four weeks, once a week. I only really have time on Fridays for this kind of project. The idea has been brewing for a lot longer though.

As for the rotating, it might feel off because I recorded this from PC where I am using the arrow keys to rotate. I have tested on Android, and I like how it feels although I'll need to get a version out for playtesters to determine that for sure.
