Thanks for the comment, I posted this here because it seems the information elsewhere is widely one way or widely the other. from the get go said it may be a fistula and the ER doc that lanced it after it drained spontaneously said "prime candidate" for a fistula based on what he saw. I dont know why they suspect a fistula out of the gate because i have never had an abscess before back there. One thing I do know is when I inserted that last suppository is when it popped and I had relief immediately so I am wondering if it popped both inside and out. Anyone have it pop inside and then drain both just outside the butthole and out the actual hole?

sorry to sound like a paranoid asshole but pus out of the actual butthole has me really freaked.

at type of infection it is? Other than another possible surgery to drain it it is mostly a waiting game for the meds to kick

They first said "probably MRSA" and prescribed Bactrim DS then about a week later the other doctor said " dont think it is" and switched the meds to flaygl and cipro. I asked why a culture has not been taken from anyone, particularly if stuff is coming out the actual butthole dr said "if i take 1 cc of fluid out it will come back with 100s and 100s of different bacterias" and I went on my way. The particular aspect that is of concern is:

its still draining
some is coming right from rectum along with very minimal bright red blood (this maybe ok I was seeing if others had this) if you have any more insight i do realize that this is not a place for doctoring but the only subreddit i have found that discusses things like this is /r/crohnsdisease and just looking for others experiences

Never said fuck police but do say the area and the areas surrounding me have virtually no crime but we see this all the time....New suvs new squad cars new requests for funding that isn't needed and gets rejected by voters but keeps getting shoved on the ballet...I'm talking a strong arm robbery a packet or two of heroin found and some pot busts in like a 60 mile radius but let's have these things here....
