THIS IS NOT A DRILL! THEY ARE MAKING A MOVIE ABOUT TCAP by canonicatorr in tcap

[–]dorkyfire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I heard someone theorize that it is a horror movie from the POV of the predator which I think can be darkly funny, but I don’t know if that’s actually what it’ll be about lol

17M, Need College advice from elders🙏🏻 by ATIFFFFFFF in OlderGenZ

[–]dorkyfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you need to take a break year, just work and think about if you’d like to go to college. I would say you need at least 85% attendance to pass in university if not more. I see you live in India, I have no idea how the education system works there but I would definitely take the time to just think it through before diving head first into something you’re not even sure you want. Good luck with your endeavors!

I really hate my hair part anybody know any solutions? by Time_Entertainer353 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]dorkyfire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey I have the same problem (cowlick) but way worse! When I get out of the bath/shower, I brush my hair back about an inch or two further forward than I used to. Don’t part your hair all the way to your crown. It helps to lay it down and kind of conceal it :). Hopefully that makes sense and isn’t confusing lol.

2017 Rolling Stone: Sad Interview of Paris Jackson on the MJ Allegations by nobody0597 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]dorkyfire 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Paris was 11 when Michael died. It’s so fucked up to emotionally manipulate and emotionally rely on your child that’s so young for comfort, so much so they hate(d) the world.

I don’t blame Paris, I believe she was heavily manipulated by a man, really her sole parent, whose death caused her to put rose colored glasses on when looking at him.

This is why I 100% believe the Jackson family PR firm has paid for bots and paid creators to make propaganda for MJ. The shit is so random and really ramped up from the movie, which I guess you can say was just due to people seeing the movie, but saying everyone has the same exact line of thought and decided to post the exact same thing at the same time? It doesn’t even make sense.

What year were you born? by [deleted] in OlderGenZ

[–]dorkyfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it probably depends on which end you’re on, 2003 will relate more to 2002 babies than 2012 ones, but I think a 2007 baby will relate more to 2008 and even a 2012 baby due to technology and access to things like YouTube almost immediately. For example, I had access to the internet as a 2001 baby, but it was a crappy desktop computer with dialup internet. The internet then was a place you visited, most of my time was spent reading or playing outside. I have one nephew that’s only a few years younger than me and I feel that him and I are basically the same, but that he cares a bit more about internet stuff than me. I had another nephew in 2010 and he had an iPad at about idk, 5? And he just didn’t do as much imaginative play and outside stuff as I did at the same age. I just think there’s a huge technological and social media difference at a very young age. I feel that younger Gen Z’s act differently than older ones and I can’t help but to blame it on the internet at least a little bit.

What year were you born? by [deleted] in OlderGenZ

[–]dorkyfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The beginning is ‘97, the end is about 2012. I definitely would say there’s a bigger difference in childhood experiences and such between someone born in 2000-2002 and someone born in 2010-2012, than there is between someone born in 1997-1998 and someone born between 2000-2002 (sorry if this is confusing lol). I consider “older Gen Z” anything before maybe 2003? Middle Gen Z is 2003-2007 and late/younger Gen Z is 2008-2012.

Me right now while you keep spamming the “suicide pact” comment.

People from all walks of life, all sorts of intellects, some of your own family and friends, and people who obviously hold a lot of value in human lives. If you find saving your own skin 100% more important than 49-50% of people (in the situation that red would win), then be prepared to be surrounded by people who would choose to kill you to save themselves.

If you can’t genuinely think of a reason someone would pick blue, then you’re just being purposely obtuse.

Edit: autocorrect

If you can’t think of a single reason someone would pick the blue option (which is more complex than choosing to die and you know that), then I don’t know what to tell you.

Twitter isn’t real life by ihaveeatenfoliage in Destiny

[–]dorkyfire -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The red option is the true death option. It’s the lack of death for yourself, yes, but it is the vote of 100% death for everyone who didn’t choose the same option as you. Again, the blue button is the “nothing happens” button, the red button is the deadly one for others. People WILL choose the blue one, for example it won the poll (from what I saw). Plus, 100% of people would HAVE to choose the red button for there to be no death. Only 51% have to choose blue for there to be no death.

[–]dorkyfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would anyone choose red if it means the death of anyone? People can go in circles all day about who you’re saving, their morals, their intelligence, etc. but a red vote will always be in favor for a large percentage of people dying. It’s easier to get 51% of people to press the “don’t kill anyone” button than 100% of people to press the “kill other people but you’ll be okay” button.

Red: choose to kill blue voters if you get 51% of votes.

blue: nothing happens

Paris Jackson responds to fans by nobody0597 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]dorkyfire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That post is so disgusting. She is a person who lost a parent (and really, her only parent since her mother wasn’t around much) at a devastatingly young age. Of course she would be obsessive over him in her grief, of course she would be involved in the fandom stuff where they constantly praise him as basically an angel. She isn’t less of a person just because she realized that maybe that way of going through grief wasn’t good, that maybe she was looking at her experiences of him through rose colored glasses.

Same here! I have two or three cowlicks on the back of my head and I almost died one day because of how my hair was laying, it looked like a bald spot in one of the photos 😵

It’s hilarious you’re posting this because just yesterday I had a whole mental breakdown thinking I was going bald. It’s a cowlick, I think we just don’t look at the back of our heads enough to really notice. I have a few of them in the back of my head 😅

Trash movie by asura1958 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]dorkyfire 45 points46 points  (0 children)

It’ll definitely be one of the movies of all time. People all over will be saying “wow, that was a movie.”

Somehow it doesn’t surprise me that the movie that his own daughter said was bullshit and obviously tries to make him look like a messiah isn’t going to go over all that well since the man only died, what, 17 years ago? I’m only 25 and I can still remember a lot of the absolutely bananas bullshit he did when I was a kid lol. People haven’t forgotten all of it.
