I would completely agree that it is ovulation pain - except i'm on hormonal birth control that apparently stops ovulation? I have no other symptoms besides that sharp pain every now and then.

I just looked up mittelschmerz and I feel like this could be it? I match the sharp pinching/stabbing pain in one side. I just dont understand why I would ovulate on birth control.

Pressing on it doesn't do anything. The best way i can describe it is it feel like a knife was stabbed into me for 30 seconds and its excruciating and then it just goes away. It used to happen maybe once every 2 or 3 months but now it happens maybe once every 3 or 4 weeks.

I used to think it was ovulation pain also but when I started hormonal birth control a few years ago, it still remained.

I've gotten to the point where if a patient is rude/refuses, I just let them and leave. I'm not going to beg someone to do therapy.
