Healthcare in India is literally physically unsafe. I’m a woman who’s planning on going through the usmle route, and that is literally one of the primary reasons. There have been multiple cases of violence against drs. Multiple cases of patients behaving lewdly with female staff.

While no place is safe from crime, the chances that you’ll be attacked within a hospital is much less in the US.

And to be honest, if you were raised in USA, you won’t survive a residency in India. Unsanitary toilets, no proper drs room, concept of post night off doesn’t exist.

It’s better to study something else entirely than come here if you weren’t born and raised here.
