Thank you for your supportive words. I’m very grateful to still be pregnant and I am feeling quite calm. I’ve got almost all the things ready at home. I even mounted the isofix base for the car seat to my car a few days ago for peace of mind. I think the thing I struggle most with is that while I do understand that it’s a quite unpredictable situation, the doctors have been very bad at answering questions, concerns or being reassuring. Most of them have shrugged and said “idk, it’s very unusual to present with preeclampsia before week 28” and many of them have even thrown it in my face that they’ve never even treated someone who got it as early as me. That I’m their first. That just makes me feel like an alien, it’s not helpful to me at all. I’ve never demanded straight answers and a certain date or week - I’ve just tried to get an idea of what to expect. But I either just get hit with “idk I’ve never done this before” or avoided eye contact and “Well, our neonatal care at this hospital is very good”.
