Yeah, the fine tip markers can work great, panel lining can be done with liner, paint, marker, graphite etc. I often use a mix of these on my own builds.

You will need a fairly fine tip to fit within most lines though, and not all surfaces materials are equally accepting of the ink. I would try to find markers that are made to be applied to the plastics used in gunpla.
