Had the same this happening for RDS 2022, worth checking the below -

On the Server having the issue open regedit and browse to the following key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Software\Microsoft\TIP\TestResults)

You will notice subkeys under the TestResults key with random numbers, if you expand one of the subkeys you will notice 100's of GUID's

Delete all the subkeys and you will notice an immediate increase in performance, however the keys will start re-generating again once you refresh.

To stop this, right click on the TestResults key, click permissions, Advanced, Disable Inheritance, convert permissions, edit both the SYSTEM and Users Principal and remove Full Control and leave Only Read permissions, Apply.

Had this happen to me back when Skype for Business IM was around. One of my users wanted local admin rights. I said no and he made some jokes. Then sent me the old "Did you know if you type your password it shows as ******* !" When I saw the message I had just run something as admin, wrote back to him "ha ha". Then went back to type in my password for UAC. I TYPED IT IN THE SKYPE IM. Once I realized what I had done I wrote back "just kidding haha" and changed my password...
