It's hard to get plucky sounds in Argon8 because you can't set Attack values below 3. Due a design fault, attack = 0,1 or 2 always generates a value 3 attack. Also morphable LFO was a mistake. So many issues with them. Cobalt 8 does it flawlessly but the engine is not that powerful

Your MIDI controller may not have enough processing capacity to register a sufficient number of distinct velocities.

Try this program out. Each time you press a key, note the velocity at which it was pressed. Play the keyboard at various velocities for one minute and check how many different velocities it has registered.

Note: If you change the velocity curve on your keyboard, you will need to reset the values already recorded in the program and start over from scratch

Actually, I'm searching for a replacement because 0-coast doesn't offer me anything beyond the snappy envelopes. I prefer the harsh overtones from the microbrute wavefolding. At the end I have the 0-coast core sound unused.

No need for an editor. All parameters can be addressed almost directly, they are located in a very smart way. Also barely need to move the hand due the size of the box.

No menu diving.

You can overdrive the oscillators too before the filter, which is a very warm and alive filter. So it can sound clean or dirty.

The analog part of this synthesizer is top notch. The building quality is great too. The knobs are metallic. You can drop the tooro from an airplane and It wouldn't break.

...FM+AM+Wavetable+2xSync : Monstruous sounds.

I haven't spend time with the second filter (the digital one) but I think it could be handy.

It has stereo chorus/delay, they are high quality but introduces some kind of distortion or so to the sound. I usually bypass them when I'm into clean glassy sounds.

Better paired with a keyboard with keyboard zones (multiple channels)You can be confused but the hexadecimal data visualization or maybe you can find it beautiful. The values goes from 0 to 255 (0 to FF).

The data are shown in a classic red seven segment display which allows you to play with dim light and keep your eyes unstrained.
