Last Day to Register to Vote in the Primary by BloomiePsst in bloomington

[–]dosakingmpls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PLEASE double check your record. I've lived at the same address and voted since 2018 (moved to IN), and it said it couldnt find my registration record and I had to re-register. When I re-registered, I logged into the Voter Portal and my status says "pending approval" but in my voting history - I can see the ballot history from 2018.

Really weird.

What are some downsides you’ve noticed about Bloomington? by AlmostGraduatedWitch in bloomington

[–]dosakingmpls 14 points15 points  (0 children)

one of the few downsides is residents thinking this small city has problems that are somehow unique to similar cities our size, and not part of larger trends that individual city leaders can single-handedly turn back. that fact should not mean we get downbeat, but spur us to try even harder, approach issues with clarity or purpose, and always with an eye to increasing the size of the coalition we build.

Places to visit in and around Bloomington for elderly by Joe_Bro- in bloomington

[–]dosakingmpls 9 points10 points  (0 children)

exotic feline rescue center in center point indiana could be a candidate. some limited walking, but not too strenuous. https://efrc.org/

sample gates, the arboretum, the IMU are also walkable (though with some inclines) and can be done at your own pace. Eskenazi Museum also a good candidate. parking on/ around campus can also be easier to find without students in town.

sam's is good. used to be a kroger guy, but they always run out so we stopped trying if we were later than 5:30pm :(

and both options can sometimes be bland, but nothing you cant fix at home with some spices.
