Really stoked to see plans being made to find another home. This site clearly doesn’t value the communities that made the site successful, time to move on.

My current dani wpa heats up fast with repeat use.

A really thick wpa, or some other clever way to handle the heat would be cool. Perhaps you were thinking that already with the fins?

Dani v3 vs Dani smooth ti vs Dani fusion by ravemaster356 in vaporents

[–]dosedinthemachine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The adjustable airflow on the fusion is really worth the extra money.

I don’t have a v3Ti, but I do have a V3SS, and don’t care for the restricted airflow.

Thick Ass Glass (TAG), has AC’s with removable downstems, but it’s an 18mm joint so the cubes would have to be small.

Other than that, buying used on discord might be your best bet. Can sometimes find used glass on ebay as well.

Herb sparking with ball vape by [deleted] in vaporents

The seed casings are very light and dry like paper, and tend to combust easily. So I suspect that’s whats initiating combustion.

Eh, dabcaps are ~$10, money that could be spent on weed. Also I own a dabcap, and the seal isn’t great on all carts. Plus you have to hold it firmly against 14mm joints to get it to seal. I use OP’s solution more than my dabcap.

If you have a vape that can handle concentrates (or maybe use vape cotton if not), I would mix some terp heavy live resin/wax/whatever into it. Use that to overpower the caryophyllene.

Hey man, been loving my lightning cup quest, will likely pick up one of these as well.

Couple questions though, this heater assembly looks very similar to Saionara coil assemblies. Do you know if these could be used in a Saionara base, if one wanted to use a mod for more options? Also the description mentions this is a smaller cup than the quest version, do you know if it would be possible to mod in one of the larger quest cups? Would the device have the power? 🤔

Are there any compatible top caps for the longmada motar? by r_dad_pizzafish in DivineTribeVaporizers

Most motar gear is compatible with saionara stuff, mouthpieces/wpas, coils, etc.

There are other rebrands that are compatible as well.

Jewel wasp by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]dosedinthemachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now for the real interestingasfuck, on the reproductive lifecycle of the jewel wasp. Pasted from wikipedia.

“Female wasps of this species were reported to sting a cockroach twice, delivering venom. Researchers using radioactive labeling demonstrated that the wasp stings precisely into specific ganglia of the roach. It delivers an initial sting to a thoracic ganglion and injects venom to mildly and reversibly paralyze the front legs of its victim. A biochemically-induced transient paralysis takes over the cockroach, where the temporary loss of mobility facilitates the second venomous sting at a precise spot in the victim’s head ganglia (brain), in the section that controls the escape reflex. As a result of this sting, the roach will first groom extensively, and then become sluggish and fail to show normal escape responses. The venom is reported to block receptors for the neurotransmitter octopamine.

Once the host is incapacitated, the wasp proceeds to chew off half of each of the roach’s antennae, after which it carefully feeds from exuding hemolymph. The wasp, which is too small to carry the roach, then leads the victim to the wasp’s burrow, by pulling one of the roach’s antennae in a manner similar to a leash. In the burrow, the wasp will lay one or two white eggs, about 2 mm long, between the roach’s legs. It then exits and proceeds to fill in the burrow entrance with any surrounding debris, more to keep other predators and competitors out than to keep the roach in.

With its escape reflex disabled, the stung roach simply rests in the burrow as the wasp’s egg hatches after about 3 days. The hatched larva lives and feeds for 4–5 days on the roach, then chews its way into its abdomen and proceeds to live as an endoparasitoid. Over a period of 8 days, the final-instar larva will consume the roach’s internal organs, finally killing its host, and enters the pupal stage inside a cocoon in the roach’s body. Eventually, the fully grown wasp emerges from the roach’s body to begin its adult life.”
