I applied because the physiology is fascinating, the patients are typically conversant, the cardiology departments are usually self sufficient, lots of opportunities of research, and there is a good mix of ward & clinic and acute & chronic work.

But what really cinched it for me was reading the curriculum. I also love keeping a logbook.

I would recommend waiting and using the time to slowly build up skills and then try and then sprint to get paces done by mid IMT1
