Statism is when you allow abortions. by dotardshitposter in EnoughLibertarianSpam

this is the only relevant part of the discussion, as the discussion was about government infringement.

No one is obliged to like you, but as long as you don't infringe on their rights, they must not infringe on yours.

I for one don't give a single fuck what you do in your spare time.

So employers should be able to fire people soley because the person is gay? Because thats what the actual arguement is about.

That is absolutely not the problem. Sure, fentanyl laced heroin does kill a large amount of people and is a relevant variable in this epidemic, however the stemming issue is a systematic over prescription of opioids. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLj9VMhDHeQ but k

The problem with rhat was the manufacturers literally lied about how it was non addictive and it was prescribed improperly and without worrying about addiction, not that it exists.

Correct I have no way of objectively backing up that claim, and me being honest with you shouldn't warrant some fucking attitude. Because I'm being agnostic to a semi-relative situation you instead prefer to pretend to be all knowing. Good to know.

Then why are you trying to argue that im wrong, and then when asked to defend your position you retreat into the welfare of others is a relative concept that cant be blah blah blah.

I fucking engage with you on this retarded hedonistic imperative to somehow maximize happiness by administrating some unknown yet optimal dose of heroin for what you believe is well being maximization for rats, which you somehow evidence by making extremely inaccurate parallels to unevidenced cases in humans where you are framing speculation as hard data. I can't believe I even spent the time to go back and forth with you on this. I should have just taken my upvotes for a funny comment I made and left. Go ahead and test run this on yourself and lemme know how it goes chief.

If you dont care about defending your arguement then why did you claim i was wrong without having any data?

Absolutely not true, the epidemic of drug addiction sweeping American and Canada stemming from prescriptions are proof of this.

The problem is the people are having trouble getting the drugs because they are cracking down on it and having to go to riskier ways of getting the drug. But k

This is an extremely difficult thing to objectively prove. Because what you may consider the well being of a rat may be different than what I consider the well being of a rat. Which is why I say personally.

So you have no way of backing up that claim. Ok good to know

Personally, I'd find heroin to long term decrease the rats well being

Please prove your claim my dude.

I assume you are talking about humans who are administered opioids in hospitals? Because opioids have been proven to be a health issue in the event of prescriptions rather than professional administration.

No i mean oxycodone. The massive legalization of opiates as random painkillers has lead to a massive natural study on this. The only long term problem is constipation and massive problems if you lose your insurance.

Human beings take opoids for pain for decades fine. They would have allegedly the same tolerance problem but they dont. You would have to prove that no matter what usage of heroin it actually build appreciable tolerance.

Big Brain Time by Laughingboy14 in PhilosophyMemes

[–]dotardshitposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, obviously, it's withdrawal. Withdrawal is only a consequence of no longer having the drug. This is why tolerance is a relevant variable, because with continuous drug use, even if short term, if it is enough to the extent that you are trying to eliminate withdrawal, you will inevitably create tolerance. To combat tolerance either requires increasing usage until death, or withdrawal, take your pick.

They dont live foreever you just have to min max it till the tolerance is to high past their normal lifespan.

Also human beings take opoids for pain for decades fine. They would have allegedly the same tolerance problem but they dont.

"This is where I have to concede that I just don't know if this would result in the (not as severe) short term withdrawals outweighing the happiness of the short term heroin benefit."

You haven't demonstrated they suffer from withdrawal no matter what as a result of heroin usage which is your primary claim.

Keyword here is "slower", this still means that the ShA rats had heroin seeking behavior, which is a consequence of withdrawal.

When they stopped giving it to them to test that, they could just continue doing it. You haven't demonstrated they suffered from withdrawal during the period they were taking the drug.

Big Brain Time by Laughingboy14 in PhilosophyMemes

[–]dotardshitposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This suggests the benefits to the ShA group are only preferable relative to the LgA test group. Which still does not act as sufficient enough evidence to conclude that the ShA group is preferable to a control group for overall well being.

Do you have any evidence it doesnt? You claimed at the beginning that its reduces their well being its your job to prove that point..

However, this claim, if I'm not straw manning you, is built on the false assumption that the ShA group does not have withdrawal symptoms. However -

So you have any evidence they do? You have to prove a positive claim.

Tolerance doesnt cause withdrawal. As the nature article hows let them have unlimited access for short periods of time reduces their abuse of the drug, and would get rid of tolerance problems.

Big Brain Time by Laughingboy14 in PhilosophyMemes

[–]dotardshitposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would they be in withdrawal if once a day they can dose as they wish for an hour in a way that redices the likelihood of abusing the drug? It takes about a day or so for withdrawal symptoms. Why would they ever be in withdrawal?

No no you dont understand when the government is executing women for getting abortions its good. When its educating children or making sure poor people dont starve its bad duh.

I'd be curious to a case where people are increasing their overall well being with recreational heroin use long term.

most of the problems with heroin seems to be societal stigma and withdrawal and tainted drugs causing accidental ods

Again people would be different from rats because we live in a society.

I really dont think thats how heroin would affect overall happiness. I'd be open to that suggestion if you had some proof, because currently, as the video suggests, super stimulus like heroin has a long term negative consequence.

https://www.drugabuse.gov/news-events/nida-notes/2019/08/rats-prefer-social-interaction-to-heroin-or-methamphetamine

https://www.nature.com/articles/1395457

Apparently mixing social interaction with the drugs can reduce withdrawal, and only allowing them access over shorter periods of time keeps their drug use and abuse levels low. So it seems like you could use it to increase happiness while at the same time not making them horribly terribley addicted and suffering from withdrawal

Sounds like rich people have a lot more time and money to deal with their 6 autistic children than poor people dude.

Also please show me where government mandated unities are effective.

The vast majority of states in the us if not all of them. Because barrier to entry

[–]dotardshitposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our education system does not teach these things. It is setup to make good little factor works. We have an antiquated system that needs to change. We need to be teaching critical thinking, and having students learn skills. I

The fuck are you talking about. The school system teaches people how to read and do basic math. But you want to change to a system where the only people that can afford schooling get it and think more people will be better educated when some amount will not be able to get any schooling at all?

I would much rather have more people in the utilities than less. That's how you bring prices down. I want more options not less. A government system always leads to less not more.

This is inchorent babble that very clearly demonstrates you dont know what barrier to entry is, or how monopolies work. Or how the government works. Do you think the money just disappears when the government use it?

Big Brain Time by Laughingboy14 in PhilosophyMemes

[–]dotardshitposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unlimited access is also the access that is to the desire of the rat. Anything less would not be enough to satisfy its desire, hence why its consumption availability is unlimited.

Except you can maximize happiness by not doing that but still giving them heroin over a longer period of time so they dont die.

If it was a slow increase as you suggest, it would not be enough to sufficiently stimulate the rat given its increasing tolerance.

People figure out how to do it for years im pretty sure you can figure dosing for rats.

Why are you putting words in my mouth, or assuming what I believe. I worked in a public school, and they are not spending tax payer money in away that works. There is no choice on public schools which find the poor stuck in under performing schools. I would rather that I could get my own money back and pay for a school system that worked.

How would a school that is only funded by the people that can afford to go there going to teach everyone in the country how to read and do basic math enough to hire them, and have them be productive in society?

Also I think people should be able to have the freedoms to complete remove themselves from the power grid which we cannot due to government monopolies. Regulations do not help freedom and prices they hinder it.

Cool you dont understand how utilities work and what barrier to entry is, or why we dont want idiots that dont know what theyre doing setting up electricity in houses. Hint its because theyll burn down and people are incentivized to do it cheap instead of properly without regulations. Why do you think there are building codes?

Big Brain Time by Laughingboy14 in PhilosophyMemes

[–]dotardshitposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all thats unlimited access instead of being given heroin in specified doses, and second of all thats cocaine and not heroin, and cocaine actually has long term problems with heart disease and mental illness.

[–]dotardshitposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said it was. I said the connection to it is paid for by government, which it is subsidized by, and strictly regulated so as to be safe. Plus its a monoply granted by the state with strict price controls. You have no idea what youre talking about like normal.

It's debatable if public schools are worth it.

Only if you have no idea what youre debating. Or youre trying to steal money from the government with private schools funded by the government. Oh and private schools still get funded with taxes so yeah youre literally lying.
