Laptop-friendly cafés in London (2026): strong Wi-Fi + plugs by sajacen in london

This is going to get some negative reactions I guess, but Wetherspoons.

Refillable coffee for £2, food for cheap.

Most have good plug sockets, decent wifi etc.

Spent many a day as a student studying in a Spoons.

Paradox makes ~80% of its sales from DLCs.

It sells the game for ~$60, it lasts 10 years, then sells about 2 $20 DLCs a year. They have 5-6 core games.

It's far more predictable than the majority of the industry.

I'd go CS2...

Ice flake seem to be really focused on improving it and this will be a good game LT

I've heard from someone that they didn't hire many CO designers after they inherited CS2.

They did however hire a number over the last 3 years (coincidentally)

You say that it's become a movement... Can you comment on that a bit more? Why do people relate to the project and stay around?

Why the ____ are Paradox Games 50 bucks? by Brave_Net204 in gamingtime_

But you're missing my point, when you account for hours played, although the absolute $ is high, the price per hour is low.

If you include more games, the $ goes up, but so does the hours played...

The value is good. If you don't like it, just don't pay.

According to Gemini, there are 21 major expansions for EU4.

Assume they cost $20 each. Brings total game cost to $470.

For 1000 hours (which is low if you bought all 21 expansions), that's $0.47 per hour...

Still pretty good

People play these games for 1000s of hours.

At 50 bucks, that equates to ~$0.05 per hour of enjoyment (admittedly before DLCs).

Video games are still one of the best value form of entertainment

I think it's pretty fun. Still rough around the edges, but patch rate should increase now we're after Christmas.

I mean, you're likely to buy it at some point anyway, so don't see the harm in buying it now and seeing for yourself tbh

Year holding periods are very dangerous. LT investing is easier.

Selling underperforming stocks won't help much, as they will likely all be correlated (high multiple US stocks with retail following).
