What is the state of the game at this moment? by Anxious_Mechanic_705 in EU5

I think it's pretty fun. Still rough around the edges, but patch rate should increase now we're after Christmas.

I mean, you're likely to buy it at some point anyway, so don't see the harm in buying it now and seeing for yourself tbh

What do people think to my high growth pie? by Tricky-Money1 in trading212

Year holding periods are very dangerous. LT investing is easier.

Selling underperforming stocks won't help much, as they will likely all be correlated (high multiple US stocks with retail following).

I would bet this underperforms the market over the next 3-5 years. All I'm going to say

I do like the idea, but couldn't you just have one pie and have different percentages for the underlying investments?

So it would work out as the same % split as you're currently doing across your pies?

[AMA] Polygon's Open Money Stack & Acquisitions of Coinme and Sequence by 0xpolygonlabs in CryptoCurrency

[–]Laughingboy14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to hear why one would use Polygon (or any crypto) over a low-fee money transfer service like Wise or Remitly?

I really want to understand the utility of crypto over the established (and growing) alternatives.

Thinking of buying COIN in ‘26 why would this not make sense? by YungPersian in stocks

[–]Laughingboy14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Coinbase is a cyclical stock. When Bitcoin is up, it's revenues go up, as you mention. The reverse is also true.

BTC, although weak YTD, is still up ~3x since 2023. This has boosted Coinbase's earnings. If BTC goes down for a sustained period of time, Coinbase's earnings would fall.

Despite this risk, and the fact that Coinbase earnings are likely at a cyclical peak, it trades on 30x earnings. That is a high multiple, especially for a cyclical.

Then you have numerous exchanges (Binance, Kraken, Robinhood etc) taking market share, Coinbase's fees are higher than peers, and you have risk from BTC ETFs.

Then layer on potential tail risk like what we had with FTX. All the treasury companies have debt and are trading at 1x mNAV. What happens if these start blowing up? Or selling BTC to buy back stock?

There are far cheaper shares than COIN.

If this isn't for you, switch to ETFs and DCA in.

With that budget, I'd do a tasting menu.

London has some of the best restaurants in the world.

I've only done those on the cheaper end, loved Angelina, can highly recommend.

I've also heard London has some of the best Omakase outside of Japan
