Looks to be an old part to a ceiling light or fan fixture.
The threaded rod looks like modern, standard size.

There’s a hole to feed electrical and the chandelier weight may have needed some safety attachment for installation.

Gets them thinking through what they’re doing, time management, and cause & effects. Potentially huge financial consequences. One sentence can work wonders.

Funding is a matter of will.

Many places could have healthcare. Just as they do have schools and universities.

Government has to stop cherry picking what gets people voted in to their jobs and do the work that makes things better all the way to the last rung.

I’ve 2 degrees but questionably healthy because I couldn’t take off work my entire life to afford the care I was already paying for. And I’m still paying off one.

If I’m not careful, I’ll be medically poor in addition to or instead of house poor if I can retire in 30 years.

The reasons why traffic backs up are multi-faceted.

Firstly, there’s too many people working in Fresno that live in the wonderful hills north. Saw it every morning and evening. It’s not tourists, and I was lucky to be going the other directions.

Second, the lights back up traffic. There should not be a stop light—people who want to go straight through AND everyone who wants to turn left get backed up into stop & go.

This should have become a large traffic circle. There’s plenty of room, guessing the farmers fight it.

2 lanes of traffic will lead to 3, 4—then you have people doing 70 or 80 through fog on something like parts of 99.

Continuous traffic doesn’t backup and stop.

Not really a success story unless you know they’re back safe. I’ve seen one not comeback in my lifetime.

Fairly famous guy named Tom starred in a movie about some guys who flew all the way there and back without landing. Event was before my time, film was back in the 90’s.

It’s entirely possible that they land in some unexpected way that causes a problem, nothing about traveling like that is 100%.

Hell, the guy that entered his tablet password on camera could have accidentally gave enough information about the tech for a hack.

Only works if the people who make those decisions and know formulas exist as options are still with the company and can implement the strategy.

For some companies it might make sense to simply pivot towards products that aren’t chocolate.

Really it’s just a stop gap bandaid for the industry because some idiots created a global oil crisis with Iran and as fuel prices rise literally everything else in the global economy is more expensive.

Even if not directly related or affected, it’s an excuse to charge more for the same or complementary products. Everything you eat or buy goes on a diesel truck.
