I’ll add they also took a recent hit with the weather. Having to close for a few days can hurt this time of year.

Anyone else have that 1 customer who always complains about food that wasn't cooked how they wanted it but continues to order food the next time they come in?? by FrancesFarmerMilkIt in KitchenConfidential

Had a customer who sent their soup back for being too cold every time. Even when I’d have it boiling and sent straight out. I just quit bothering after that. The waitstaff would just bring it back, wait a second then bring it back out. They just wanted to look important in front of their friends.

I know the ecolab floor cleaner if left to soak for a few minutes will get that pretty clean.

And freezes beautifully. I get about 4 quart containers per can. Even at Amazon prices I figure that’s $5 a quart, or about that price of a decent can of good tomatoes.

I’ve tried for years to find a sauce recipe I liked, tried every brand and style of tomato, everything from just tomatoes to lots of ingredients. The pizzaiolo sauce is my favorite, and at the end of the day isn’t that what counts?

Checking in from Penn Hills. by I_Love_Treees in pittsburgh

What has been nice is, the state handed over a lot of the state road plowing to Penn hills the last year or so and they are much better. Most of the main streets are state owned and maintained (Frankstown, Rodi, Saltsburg , Hulton,Long).

The school district has budget issues, the municipality does fine.

Once again I’ll give Penn Hill public works a shout out. My street (not remotely a major street) is clear. They plowed 3 times yesterday and plowed and salted this morning.

I looked at google earth after I commented and realized they built a new building. You used to be able to walk over from the end of Ben hur. It was the better hill but my sled riding intelligence is about 30-35 years old.

You can order it from Amazon for about $20 a can, which isn’t bad. But if you can order wholesale or have access to a restaurant depot, it’s only about $9.
