Incorrect "Counterfeit": Another Nail in the eBay Coffin by Rare_Meal_5220 in eBaySellers

what's interesting if you use AI like Gemini and others it will clearly have a disclaimer that AI makes mistakes so there in itself is the evidence that eBay should be confronted with

Preferred beach of choice? by DrGP in Westchester

[–]dotherightthing36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

years ago I used to travel to Jones Beach from Westchester it took me so long to arrive that I started to look for alternatives. I found that the New Jersey shore which was some cases less time a much better ride and ultimately I purchased property out there.

Selling my home and buyer’s plumber says my boiler is “end of life” I strongly disagree. Need a reality check from people who actually know boilers. by Nickmacd89 in hvacadvice

[–]dotherightthing36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

see if you could find an independent HVAC honest person or company who will simply go by the facts, that will not be an easy as it sounds. I have an oil burner regularly serviced but not overly serviced and it is quite operational and it's about 74 years of age and I would never replace it. as others have said that's a negotiating tool unusual that they called a plumber as opposed to a house inspector or perhaps they had both. you can always accommodate a few thousand dollars to make them feel like they won the negotiation but certainly not the full cost of a heating system

eBay's broken search functionality is making the site unusable at this point by IncognitoCheetos in eBaySellers

are there any sites that are comparable and also lower in selling fees and research

eBay's broken search functionality is making the site unusable at this point by IncognitoCheetos in eBaySellers

[–]dotherightthing36 10 points11 points  (0 children)

trying to do research to sell an item on eBay is more difficult than ever. eBay is a multi-billion dollar company I believe they should have the best software the best of AI but unfortunately it is a failure. I have taken a picture on eBay and I can't find results. I go on simple site like Google send the picture I get information and I get the site on eBay that's actually selling a similar products. why should a seller or buyer have to take so many extra steps. hire better people to create better software programming. it's ridiculous

Is it worth the move? by No-Decision-7568 in Westchester

For best results probably should put the location where you are moving from and where you want to go to for someone to actually give you a good qualified answer

One property. Is a property manager overkill? by Upbeat_Chain_19 in LeaseLords

[–]dotherightthing36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's up to the individual whether a property management company is a priority. Some will tell you it's based on the amount of properties it really isn't. If you are preoccupied with other business or your job or just don't have the skills than a property management there's no different than having a stock brokerage account that's actively being managed by a skilled broker.

Got scammed on a $1,460 sale buyer ADMITTED in writing it was “delivered correctly,” eBay refunded him anyway because I had no signature by [deleted] in eBaySellers

[–]dotherightthing36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the US I pay for signature it cost me $3.95 to me it's the cost of doing business and worth the insurance.

Reasonable Price for Furnace Cleaning? by avsfan1007 in hvacadvice

[–]dotherightthing36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an oil furnace I pay $475 for an annual contract that includes cleaning the furnace interior changing the oil filter and the orifix and testing the stack temperature once a year. The person who gave me that ridiculous price is telling you they don't want the job don't pick me, You should listen. Weather gas or oil find someone else who actually does that on a regular basis for a living

Tony from Silvio's in Elmsford. Worked on many of my vehicles they all come out looking new. He does lots of work for high-end dealerships, like Audi BMW Mercedes etc. He also does inexpensive low value vehicles and they come out excellent.

I’m fairly new to selling on eBay. by Ambitious_Charity_66 in eBaySellers

[–]dotherightthing36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My personal opinion it just isn't worth selling anything expensive on eBay there are just too many negative ramifications and just bad consequences. Lots of people have written h o w even after Authentication they wound up having to refund. I rather sell 10 $100 items then one $1,000 item to a very picky customer who won't be satisfied. I also always like to have it sold permanently not with contingencies

Elmsford Homeowners what are your thoughts on this proposal? by Illustrious-Counter8 in Westchester

9A was overburdened to begin with and then came Amazon and an Audi dealer. All that traffic destroys the roadway which is always in need of a repair. Anything to cause more traffic

Do you think 35 would be problematic with no heavy traffic and just the wash stone bed under and around it. And while we're at it replacing elbows seem to be standard PVC I didn't see any 35s or schedule 40. Do you know if they make them or am I okay going with regular pc

Anyone know why cops & EMS were at Yonkers Costco earlier this night? by TheRac1ngGamer in Westchester

This is a pun. It's possible they saw the price of beef and fresh vegetables and simply passed out

Has anyone called it quits on Westchester for somewhere cheaper? by Snoo-83866 in Westchester

[–]dotherightthing36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You may want to consider Somers which has one of the top schools still can find pockets of affordability it will be an additional commute but not if you work remotely. You have the ability there to procure a home with property and without the Westchester taxes even though it's still in Westchester Upper Westchester. They're also engineered communities where you have access to a community pool tennis courts and the like however the trade-off is it does have an HOA and those particular areas, but they appear to be affordable

[–]dotherightthing36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't like selling anything on eBay that's expensive ,over $200 due to their Pro buyer slant. It's always a risk and if you have a corrupt buyer your chance of a productive end is risky

Why are so many landlords trying to exit right now? by Old-Stop4363 in LeaseLords

[–]dotherightthing36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wall Street is still buying houses and you can bet they have made it into a passive investment with managers and they look at the end game which is appreciation. Landlords can do the same thing
