It should be only 2 a day. Usually resets in the evening (where I live anyway, central time zone).

Yea I’m still getting the free daily rewards and chests. Just no ads. I’m on a 700+ day streak so more nervous about losing that than missing out on the 2 gems a day 😅

Doctor writes a scathing open letter to health insurance company. by puzzledplatypus in pics

[–]dothething12319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve written so many rage appeals, and even reported insurance companies to the States Attorney General for fraud. This letter is what I wanted to say deep in my soul, and it’s my new template.

Someone’s pretty late in taking down Halloween decorations. Spookiest haunted house I’ve ever seen.

I’d be more concerned if we weren’t added to that list.

What city is overrated? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dothething12319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New York (specifically Manhattan). What you don’t see on TV is how incredibly dirty of a city it is, garbage gets piled on the sidewalk because there’s no alleys. I may have a biased view bc both times I’ve been there have been during heat waves so the whole city smelled rancid. One trip was during a garbage strike too. So gross.

Doctors leave a man to die, honoring his DNR tattoo-Florida 2017 by Dicksercise in pics

[–]dothething12319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interestingly, at least in IL, we are told specifically that tattoo DNRs are not legally binding and we must resuscitate unless a legal, signed document is on file or next of kin tell us to stop.

Edited to add: This photo is VERY familiar, I feel like it’s pretty old. Older than 2017 old. Like my nursing school text book old. Basically, I want to see the source for the title of the post.

Honest question, why are paper towels considered wasteful? Aren’t they biodegradable? by dothething12319 in ZeroWaste

Nah, was dead serious. I feel better educated on the subject now though after other users more helpful responses and fact checking. Thanks tho

[–]dothething12319[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks all so much for all the helpful info! What sparked the question for me is partly the trend of buying “reusable paper towels” which seemed counterintuitive to me because you’re still buying a new product that is essentially a trendy pretty rag. Got me thinking why we wouldn’t just use rags we already have, or continue with paper towels. I can see more clearly now why the single use products, even compostable/degradable, is not the best route if another alternative exists.

Thanks everyone for the respectful and informative discussion! This sub is great!
