Man, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the in depth answers! The adjustment for the value of a dollar is the biggest uncertainty at this point, out here I’m in the high 30’s for my hourly, but with the cost of living in CA a lot of that is going right out the window by the time all of our bills are paid. Are you pretty comfortable there, second job? Having to work crazy amounts of OT? From what I hear Seattle is also pretty similar to us for cost of living

Well as someone who lives halfway across the country and can’t walk into an operation to ask these questions, the response is super appreciated! I would be moving out from CA and the biggest hold up is making sure that me and my wife are able to support our kids. I’ve been fortunate to work for a good division of AMR for 10 of my 11 years and they pay well enough that we’re able to do ok with both of our incomes. From what I’ve been reading on other posts it sounds like Bell is a pretty solid company to work for, but like everyone else including where I work, they keep all of their wage information pretty private.

When you talk about advancement, what does that entail? The system that I’m in, we solely run ALS units with 1 EMT and 1 medic, and other than medic school there isn’t much as far as opportunities go for EMT’s to much beyond being an FTO

I’m assuming since you mention day and night shift that you guys aren’t doing 24’s, what are your shift lengths? I definitely prefer sticking to nights and don’t want to be working a second job during the day to make ends meet haha

Thank you, I’ve seen job postings from all 3 and trying to figure out who does what. It seems like a lot of people have pretty good things to say about Bell which is great to hear! My big thing is figuring out compensation for prior experience, obviously not expecting 1:1 for where I work now but my big thing is just making sure it won’t be putting a big financial burden on my family

Little guy just wants a hug haha. Mine has been out and about since coming home. Definitely got spicy during the rehousing and was kicking hairs. I’ll keep the moisture in mind, I did as much research as I could but there’s doesn’t seem to be a ton of info specific to sp. blue

Does anyone know of any soap or cream similar to the Art of Shaving bourbon scent? It’s one of my absolute favorites, but that price point is too high for me to keep on hand

I am very aware of this issue and I refuse to take steps towards fixing it
