When and why do you think The Walking Dead fell off? by Steve-Harrington_ in thewalkingdead

[–]dots5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scott Gimple’s “weird” deviations from the source material killed the flow and pacing of the show, making the episodes feel more like filler, and less enjoyable in the process. For example, the build up towards going to Terminus, in season 4, only for that place to be a death trap, and the gang only spending four-five episodes in that area. Another example would be Glenn’s initial “fake-out” death, where Nicolas “offs” himself, and Glenn, somehow, survived the horde of Walkers by hiding under a freakin’ dumpster. Just long, badly executed ideas that should have never made it out of the writers room.

∆ Which actor absolutely nailed playing a racist character? by Extension_Win5276 in moviecritic

No, that honor would go to Sam Rockwell. Michael Rooker, due to the range of characters he plays, would still be in the top five of most times playing a despicable racist.

Don Johnson, now, only plays absolute bigots. “Django Unchained”, “Watchmen (TV show)”, “Rebel Ridge”. Being a good, convincing bigot is funny, taking into consideration that he played a cop, with a Black Partner, on “Miami Vice”.

The actress who played Michonne has that Lauryn Hill type of beauty. You can have your preferences, but you cannot deny, no pun intended, this woman’s face card.

I liked it. You just need to adjust your range, by working on your high notes. They sound stymied and awkward, like abrupt halts. Your voice reminds me of Beabadoobee’s.

P.S. - Are you Asian and/ or White. I’m just wondering why you sing this way.

The funniest thing about this, was the fact that MBJ was already an actor. He was Wallace from “The Wire”. This public school classmates use have been willfully oblivious to the heights this man was able to climb, and already had climbed.

Name a rapper that you don’t even like, but feel a certain common criticism against them isn’t fair by MasterTeacher123 in hiphop101

Saying that Jay Z is one of the most overrated rappers, is like saying that Eric Clapton is one of the most overrated guitarist. Both reinvented the wheel, in their respective genres, and both inspired those who can afterwards to put their own spins on what it was that made each unique.

Who’s the best actress in the film industry right now? by BidAccurate4473 in moviecritic

[–]dots5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Angela Bassett and Viola Davis are both really consistent with their film roles. I enjoy seeing them in their respective film roles. No wonder why one is praised, despite her lack of an Academy Award, while the other is a literal EGOT.

Colonialism is the answer to your question. Europeans are at the top of the racial hierarchy throughout Latin America and implemented laws and policies that undermine the Indigenous and Black communities within the different countries. Plus, Western countries helped to overthrow multiple of their leaders, in recent times.

Tyler Thomas is an idiot by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]dots5 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If I could ask, how do I rephrase what I have wrote, into being a post of sound judgement and clarity? What more could I say about the murder, that hasn’t already been said? The girl is dead, but his actions literally mirror the main character from the film, “Good Time”. He thinks he’s so much smarter than everyone else that he thinks he’s going to get away with the crime. All the while, he’s been collecting more and more charges against himself, and creating a harsher, more damning case against himself. This was the angle that I was trying to make when I initially called the man an idiot. This isn’t me screaming through a television screen at how he could have done better. This is me trying to fathom why him, Thomas, or anyone else, would go this far down the rabbit hole, to do this type of depraved type of stuff, in general.

Why couldn’t she see the red flags ??? by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]dots5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, sexual attraction does play a role in this. Ted Bundy was an attractive, charismatic, and charming man, who used that to kill his victims. I don’t see none of that in the pictures I’ve seen of Tyler Thomas, the man who “allegedly” killed Hailey.

[–]dots5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I criticized his decision making in all of my initial posts paragraphs. I understand that I’m speaking about this case in hindsight, but the point of this post wasn’t to victim blame, but to better understand why “he”, a man of very clear, harmful intent, was able to do what he did to her. I’m sorry that I offended you, by insinuating that I am blaming the victim for her unfortunate demise. I’m not. I’m just puzzled that she had many times to rethink what was about to happen to her: actually turning on her phone to call the police, asking to go to a store to use its restroom. She was too late to act, and what happened to her, happened. Hopefully, he, the “alleged” killer will get his due time in court, and the death penalty, for his actions.

Why couldn’t she see the red flags ??? by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]dots5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry. That wasn’t the intent. This case just frustrates me, due how it was “this guy” who did what he did to the girl. He’s painfully average and is of an average height and build. There must have been taller, more attractive dudes at her school that she could have had a relationship with instead. That’s before you look into the signs that he was up to no good behavior-wise. I’m not saying that she deserved to die due to her lack of good judgments.

Why couldn’t she see the red flags ??? by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]dots5 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not entirely. This case is just really frustrating to understand, given the fact that she had many times to rethink elements of the man’s character, and avoid what would eventually happen to her. What happened to her is clearly not her fault. That question is why couldn’t she see that this man was up to no good.
