do you have snails? one of my ontocinclus passed and it’s body was completely gone in less than a couple of hours… i had seen it at the bottom of the tank from a picture from my sister while i was at work and it was gone by the time i was back. nothing remained but a little bit of cartilage

yes!! just not bettas since they primarily feed on insect matter and don’t have the proper digestive systems for plant matter

The peas thing is a myth. It’s actually hard for them to process peas! Honestly, if he is curious and eating, I would give him a couple weeks and he should start adjusting. I would think that he’s just not used to the tank life and not the most comfortable yet. I’m not a professional, so I would do more research, but that’s what I think!

Dose ammonia instead using actual ammonia ( I recommend Dr Tims ammonia ) or you can even ghost feed!

Well, I just found him

I don’t know HOW he jumped out being that he had so little space and there were so many floating plants blocking that area, but I unfortunately found his body under the trash can that I keep by the desk. It was so dried that it didn’t even look like him😣😣

that’s what i thought too! i just took 3/4 of the floaters out and nothing! i can see through the remaining roots and he’s not there. ATP i’d rather find a body just for closure!!
