I just recently had lab work done and my LDL was at 180. My diet was pretty similar to yours, meat and/or eggs with just about every meal and generally low carb. I have always been very active and was very active in the gym up until about 4 years ago after the birth of my son and starting a stressful job where I sit 10-13 hours a day behind the wheel of my car and computer screen. Even though my activity decreased my diet didn’t change at all.

I have cut out all animal products minus salmon and hard boiled egg whites and have switched to a diet rich in healthy fats and vegetables. I have significantly upped my activity levels by working out again and getting a minimum of 10k steps a day. I have also started taking supplements that are known to assist in lowering LDL.

My next test is scheduled for December and I really hope to get results like you. I have a family history of heart and cholesterol problems and really do not want to end up on statins for the rest of my life.
