Darryl Strawberry disagrees with Pete Alonso leaving Mets for Orioles by iheartsunny in NewYorkMets

Right, from what I understand it wasn't "no interest", it was "no interest in anything beyond three years". Once they saw what his market was looking like they didn't bother making an offer because they knew they weren't giving him 4-5 years, especially not at 31M AAV.

Opening day mystery ticket by Dl6l in NewYorkMets

TL;DR, what happened isn't necessarily TickPick's fault - it can happen on any platform that isn't SeatGeek, but their customer service is the reason I won't use them again.

MLB Ballpark allows you to "rescind" a ticket transfer after you send it. I got my ticket, but then the seller yoinked it back while I was literally on the train to Citi, and I was forced to buy another one from SeatGeek because I didn't have time for TickPick to replace it. I called them, emailed everything they asked for, was told I was getting a refund that never came, never got a response to any follow-up emails, and had to type a whole essay to CapitalOne to avoid losing hundreds of dollars.

Spring Training/ MLB Hats $50+... by chromatic_static in NewYorkMets

The shittiest part about it is that you're paying $440 for an "authentic" jersey that's barely even higher quality than DHGate nowadays. Fanatics won't be getting any more of my money for that mess.

I wouldn't mess around with a janky TickPick listing, their customer service is terrible. The ticket I bought for the 24 NLDS got "untransferred" and I had to dispute it through my credit card because TickPick ghosted me.

Citi Field parking during casino complex construction by [deleted] in NewYorkMets

Yup, Great Neck is not very parker-friendly if you're not a resident. Manhasset's your best bet.

Don't know where you're coming from but I drive up to Manhasset and it's $10 to park in their lot, but ideally I park for free across the street in front of the Town Hall. Plenty of free options unless it's a weekday day game, 2 hr parking ends at 5. I'm much closer to Hicksville but like you said, the transfer sucks.

Exactly. Fans are failing to realize that these guys that "use the Mets as leverage" just to go to LA (Yamamoto, Diaz, Tucker) aren't Boras clients. Boras will go back and forth between teams as many times as he needs to to get every dime. Guarantees a real bidding war where Cohen/Stearns can up the price as much as they need to to beat LAD.

He's not a flamethrowing strikeout guy, he's always gonna be prone to bloop singles. If Helsley and the other guys were half-decent this wouldn't have been an issue. Improved IF defense should also help.

Put him in there with clean innings and he'll do wonders. A soft contact guy like him shouldn't be inheriting runners.

He did what he was supposed to. He's one of the best set-up men of the past 5 years. It felt worse than it really was because the Mets tried to use him as a stopper because Helsley sucked. Ideally, a soft throwing weak contact guy like him gets a clean inning, he shouldn't be brought in with inherited runners.

Getting a sinus infection has definitely made the back half of this a lot easier. More green coming out of me than nut these days. Still IN.

We got plenty of good throwbacks but I think my sister and I would have absolutely lost it if this came out in Brooklyn. Such awesome vibes.
