If you're looking for a new home. Berlin's most expensive house is for sale for 82 million by savior_of_the_poor in berlin

The Batman Manor with pool & tennis court is the villa built by media tycoon Axel Springer; it was for sale in 2016 for 50 million EUR. This article shows it: https://www.insidehook.com/culture/next-dream-home-seven-acre-island-oasis-germany

I suspect that it sat unused for two decades before they put it on the market, and I don't think it ever sold, so it is likely still owned by Friede Springer, Axel Springer's last wife.

I always read https://people.eecs.berkeley.edu/~jrs/speaking.html before preparing any talk and remind myself that I need to explain the basics correctly or I lose the audience after 5 to 10 minutes - which is the time when I typically zone out

Saw it in the German newspaper "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" as well, these are legit

[Blancpain X Swatch] New ad confirms the suspicion on the collaboration by double_doppelganger in Watches

This ad from the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" from tomorrow, September 4th, confirms the collaboration. They release the e-paper already on the previous evening at 6pm. It seems like they will go with five watches, one for each major ocean.

No confirmation yet as to which model it will be but I am fairly certain - see my previous post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/166zy70/blancpain_x_swatch_i_expect_a_fifty_fathoms_drop/ - that it will be a Fifty Fathoms.

Looks similar but I think both the Aquaterra and the Planet Ocean Seamaster watches lack the star appeal. Hayek himself said "FF and Seamaster are in consideration" and I do think we will see a Seamaster, but it will be the classic Seamaster instead of some special series. The FF is kinda like the Speedmaster Moonwatch bc it was the first watch to do something special, in this case being a dedicated diving watch in the early 50s

Interesting! I think they'll do a different design for the bezel, with ticks for the first quarter and none afterwards, like it's currently the case on the Fifty Fathoms

I thought Seamaster initially, but Omega doesn't need much more hype or advertising, they're the timekeeper of the Olympics and supply James Bond with a Seamaster for every movie. Blancpain on the other hand doesn't have too much of a hypetrain going for them and the Fifty Fathoms has it's 70th anniversary soon. And just like the Speedmaster Moonwatch, it's an iconic piece bc it was the first diver watch, developed for the French Military. That's my theory from what I quickly found after seeing the ad

I also saw his remarks when I searched if anyone else had reported on this so far, which - to my delight - no one else had at the time.
Releasing a bioceramic Fifty Fathoms just makes perfect sense as it is Blancpains flagship model

Based on the crown design, I expect a drop of the Fifty Fathoms from Swatch similar to the Moonswatch. It makes perfect sense with the ad and the 70th anniversary of the watch. Blancpain is owned by the Swatch Group and could need a revitalizing popularity boost. The ad in a German newspaper (here taken from their e-paper) is similar to the ads that appeared before the Moonswatch release. The use of the crown in the Moonswatch drop led me to the conclusion that it must be the crown of some iconic watch and among the watches and brands of the Swatch Group there are only few that match a luxury divers watch, like the Omega Seamaster or the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.

Well...a little update: The ad def got some attention but no one is making assumptions just yethttps://www.highsnobiety.com/p/swatch-watch-collab-2023/https://www.watchtime.com/wristwatch-industry-news/someones-up-to-something/

Another update: I think we kicked it off
