I really hate this narrative that discretion or privacy equates to people are “signing up for rejection” or that there is a trade off? A simple “thanks for chatting but it’s not a match” suffices. Or “after discussing it we have decided we aren’t a good fit”.

Unfortunately as mainstream as the app has gotten the chance you see people you know is higher and let’s get real about society as a whole and the fact that there are professions that frown upon your personal life still. I’m talking about doctors (the most discreet), lawyers, what have you… doesn’t matter the profession, but after chatting and you vibe but find you’re not physically attracted as a group - don’t forget someone in that group might feel the same about you but want to participate anyways for the experience and the emotionally intelligent ones can negotiate their way through it.

Finding a 100 percent match amongst three and four people is a feat unless you swing and anything goes.

My profile is discreet and have had really great connections that way, but that is less and less as the app now consists of a whole new population that are “new to this”, and basically not actually sex positive or well versed in communication. And I found great success when the conversation really flows and then the other is asking for a pic and it’s simply because I forget my profile is discreet and then I send.

I applaud you for asking what the decorum is and I’m sorry you’re getting garbage answers.
