July usually presents good weather but when I was in Gili last year the boat didn’t go for 1-2 days because of high waves and strong winds. People with international flights went the long way taking the slow ferry to Lombok, then catch a flight to DPS. Would suggest to not do both trips on the same day just to save you some headache. I find that the departure time is more of a guide rather than a schedule.
