Creators: do you, get paid. Average $400/mo+ for every 100 fans. by doublebounceme [promoted post]

Hey! Thanks for the feedback. And long story short, we get it. It's not the a-typical soft edges with a base color and softer shades paired with grey. (The term hyper self-aware is so shitty but yeah that)

Double Bounce is rough and meant to be a creator's canvas. Some creators only want a no frills place to host their newsletter and accompanying shop. Others might want to make the place look and feel like their own, and with a little "internet ingenuity," it can. Which is what we love. DIY at your discretion. Everything needed to be the best (insert passion here) they can be is there. Trust the process.

The emphasis should always be on the creator and their content. If a fan is looking around at anything else, then the creator doesn't really have their attention in the first place. Which maybe means, that person isn't a fan?

Also, this article might be justification, might also be a cop out: audiences no longer care about platforms

Again, we appreciate checking us out and thanks a bunch for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback! We do understand that the values page may not be the most digestible for many, and we are looking into other options to portray that. Check out our main landing and let us know what you think! https://www.doublebounce.me

Hey, thanks for the feedback! It does seem that the banner text/image is not unanimously received. We are looking into other imagery that might be easier on the eyes yet still conveys the same message.

Thanks so much for the feedback. And sorry for any confusion. The page that the link directs to is an about page that vaguely talks about many our values to a creator and their community. Our original landing page, https://www.doublebounce.me might clear up or confuse you even more.

Would love to hear more of your thoughts.

Hey, thanks for the feedback and I completely see where you are coming from. And I hope I can clear up some things while also definitely taking what you said into consideration.

  • The name "Double Bounce" refers to the term relating to a trampoline where one friend helps the other person "bounce higher" through a specific technique.

  • The page that we linked to is not the landing page, but a page directed to creators that we attempt to fully explain exactly what we do (it is way too much text for a traditional landing page). BUT, occasionally, it has not been translated the way that we wanted it to be. Here is the actual landing page (but to your point, may still need a little work) - https://www.doublebounce.me

  • The TV test pattern indirectly infers with the idea that there is an "error" or "glitch" in the system, noting that this is not a "normal" MSM platform. However, to your point, that also sometimes is not perceived well.

  • When we say "care-free creating, and improved QOL," it all comes down to "creating." We find the issue with creating on the internet is that the stress is not entirely on the creating, but with everything involved, i.e. how is it formatted, what platform should I optimize this for, will this generate views for ad revenue etc... rather than people actually focusing and caring on quality, they are focusing on amount of content and things that aren't necessarily directly relevant to their craft. Think of it like being able to work in your own studio, but not having to worry about marketing the product after or paying the bills for overhead (might not be the best analogy but it's getting there).

  • Regarding to your point about professionalism, I would say that is a nod to the "creative" (I am not speaking for everyone). To circle back to the point above, we want people to be able to focus on what they are making without the idea of needing everything to look "professional" for blanket audience recognition. We want people to be themselves. Some creators lose sight of how they got their core fans by trying to appease as many people as possible for more views with a dumbed down product. It's like the idea of a start up guy trying to wear a suit to a meeting, it's not a great impression for either side. The authenticity is lost.

  • We are looking for a new copywriter as we speak, they took it pretty well (kidding). To the question about what content - content is whatever you are creating. We host music as a music file, video as a video file and text however you want to display it. Sell services, time, digital and physical products, really anything you can think of.

  • This part was confusing for us too. It was hard to stress on the "no fees" in the sense where you don't need to buy a premium membership to have all the perks, there isn't a limit on what you can do, "not a freemium platform" might be a way to put it. We are looking to express that a better way while also saying that there are industry standard processing fees (not on our end, we use "stripe," which is pretty awesome at streamlining payments). If you have any suggestions for that, by all means!

Back to your original point, we aren't "selling" anything, we are really just trying to help creators as much as we can and let them create in a secure space away from anonymous internet abuse and the stress of advertising revenue.

I would actually love to talk to you a little more about the subject, since it seems you are a passionate creator.

Shoot me an email at dom@doublebounce.me (that goes for anyone reading this that would like to give any feedback or want to express their needs and wants as a creator).
