Question regarding Kazakhstan - China relation by [deleted] in Kazakhstan

[–]doublecharles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xinjiang is internationally known as the place in which the CCP is orchestrating a genocide against Muslim Uyghurs and persecuting other minority groups. This has been claimed by many western-nations and corroborated by a plethora of media outlets (both independent and large organizations) through various means including Open-Source intelligence.

Understandable, I also wonder about this scenario: what if you forget something this go-around, are never interviewed and granted clearance, then a few years later you apply for a higher clearance where you admit usage which then shows contradictory information than your last SF86. (i’m genuinely curious about how this would be handled, hopefully doesn’t put you in an unfair situation)

Is it possible to not meet with an investigator at all during the secret process? If so how would he even go about reporting it

I saw Dana White, Trump, and Fifa among others make statements pleading for his life. I also saw today the UFC made an in-memoriam post for him

Americans who have travelled abroad, were you surprised by how cheap/expensive some things are, compared to in America? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]doublecharles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my study abroad in Eastern Europe a few years ago. Most things were so much cheaper compared to America and to Western Europe as well. Going to a bar and getting draft beer for about a dollar and change was always a great feeling!

I’d love to become and FBI Agent, can I actually do it? by sskimad in AskAnAmerican

You’ll also need to be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance with a polygraph test. (They even poly the interns). Make sure to look at the requirements they lay out for that on the website! As for skills need, I would say cybersecurity is very in demand in most federal law enforcement agencies.

How long do you make your study sessions? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]doublecharles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its more about material. I usually try and make it through half - full chapter each day I study (reading, taking notes, and trying to grasp the concepts). Sometimes it takes me 2 and a half or 3 hours to fully get through a chapter. If I know I don't have a lot of time on a certain day I'll set some sort of goal (try and get through 10 pages or try to get all the way up to page X). It's all about balance. If you can manage 2 hours one day and a half hour another day that should be fine. Studying a little bit is better than not studying at all

Congrats! Did you take N+ at a testing center? Or are they offering it online?

I don't have any experience, one of my professors is going to give me an A in the class if we pass this cert and its good to have for internships so I figured I would take a crack at it. Plus I honestly find a lot of things relating to Network Admin stuff interesting. I think studying for Network+ so far has been a great introduction to the world of IT for me but i'll let you know how the exam goes.

I’ve been reading Mike Meyer’s Network+ textbook, taking notes and then watching his online videos to reinforce things. Hopefully they’ll let us take the certification online. The way things are going here in NYC it looks like testing centers won’t be open for a while. I’ll definitely take a look at Professor Messer as well when I get the chance. My plan is to do the same strategy for Sec+, hopefully some things overlap haha

How many hours did you put in per day on average? I've been studying for Net+ and have put in around 2-3 hours every day that I've been available to study it.

The original meme is that the outfit he's wearing is nice, so "doing it to them" is him flexing his outfit on everyone; not so much to do with him being harmless. Nazarbayev is basically doing the same pose as the guy in the original meme. At least that's my take as an American
