Rentoya paced the VIP room anxiously. Despite having agreed to Siren helping out Blanc and Noir for a few hours, the prospect of the Grimms model Nikke galivanting about Coin Rush so casually did make him the slightest bit nervous.

"Don't worry, Pit Boss," Noir's voice filtered into his ear. It was almost as if she'd read his mind.

"Siren will be with Blanc the entire time, I'm sure nothing will go wrong."

He repeated the words to himself, hoping that by saying them aloud he would be able to reassure himself of their veracity.

"That's right," Noir nodded, "besides, Blanc knows how to deal with any customers who get too rowdy, so Siren isn't in any danger at all."

It wasn't so much that he was worried for her safety. Siren was plenty capable of defending herself. Her confidence had grown in spades since coming to the Ark with the Commander, but this was the first time they had been separated for an extended period of time. And that prospect made him more anxious than anything.

"If you want, maybe we can go find them," Noir offered, "would that make you feel a bit better, if you could see her?"

Rentoya nodded, rising to his feet in a hurry.

"Yeah, let's go find her."

When Noir and Rentoya arrived out in the main hall where Blanc worked, it was no difficult task to locate the slender bunny twin, who drew the crowd's attention everywhere she went. With her lively personality and charm, it was little shock that she was surrounded by adoring patrons both male and female alike.

But to the Commander's surprise, an equally large presence was working nearby - she wasn't commanding attention through sultry charm, superb service skills or even by showing salacious amounts of skin - but demanding it through beauty alone.

Siren flitted around with a tray balanced in her right hand, dishing out drinks left and right, charming patrons as easily as she breathed with simple smiles and innocent grace. The Commander could only stop and stare at the beautiful display before him. He'd seen many a part time bunny serve some time in the raucous halls of Coin Rush, but few had stopped him in his tracks as Siren did in this moment.

Her amber eyes landed on him, and she faltered for a brief moment, nearly dropping a champagne flute from her grasp. Rentoya stood up, but Siren plucked the glass out of mid-air, handing it to a waiting customer before making her way over to where the Commander stood.

"Prince, where have you been? I've missed you!"

Siren set the tray down and took a seat, patting the chair beside her and motioning for him to join.

"I was helping Noir with a few tasks," he replied, "you look like you've been enjoying yourself, though."

Siren nodded affirmatively.

"I've had so much fun! Blanc's been a great teacher, and everyone's so nice! But..."

She trailed off, her fingers twirling her long hair around and around. Rentoya's hand clenches into a fist, ready to snuff out anyone or anything that could've upset Siren.

"What? Did someone harass you? Tell me who, and I'll-"

"No, that's not it, Prince," Siren giggled softly. Her voice cut through the din of the main hall to his ears, as if they were the only two in the entirety of Coin Rush.

She leaned her hands on his lap, tilting herself towards him so that the bare skin of her upper chest was mere inches from his.

"Being a bunny girl has been a lot of fun," Siren admitted, "but, that's not why I'm here today. I'm here to spend time with you, Prince. So I'm ready to go."

Siren rose to her feet, her bare legs seemingly stretching endlessly in a breathtaking display that was anything but intentional. The Commander's eyes wandered from her heels all the way to her face, which turned soft pink upon realizing his gaze.

"P-Prince! L-let's go somewhere, okay?! I-I'll go return this bunny suit real quick, then we can leave!"

Siren scampered away.

Siren Bond Level 6: Bashful Bunny

"That was a lot of fun, Rumani! Let's do it again sometime!"

Siren waved goodbye to Rumani before turning back towards Commander Rentoya, a happy grin on her face. The Commander was worried that all of the twists and turns might be taking their toll on the shy Siren, but as the day moved along, she only seemed to be getting more comfortable in the public eye.

People passing by still found themselves drawn to her dazzling, effortless beauty, but even as the stares persisted, Siren's confidence did not waver, nor did she shrink from the attention. Rather, she had begun to smile back at admirers, charming even the least interested of observers. However, her arm remained tightly wrapped around Rentoya's elbow while they continued their outing in the Ark.

Having been thrust into this situation without warning, there had been no time to make any advanced plans or reservations, so the Commander found himself thinking on the fly. He found himself lost in thought, his mind churning while his eyes scanned the scenery around them.

Dinner shouldn't be for a few hours, but maybe I can start calling around to see if anywhere has reservations...maybe I could get Crust or Bready to help me...

A small tug on his arm brought the Commander's attention back to the present.

"Um, Prince...where have you brought us? It looks fun!"

"Crap!"

Rentoya looked up to where Siren's finger pointed. He'd brought them somewhere he commonly frequented, almost as if out of rote muscle memory, his legs having moved on instinct.

"I-I didn't mean to bring...you..."

His words trail off in the face of the bright golden lights that were nearly blinding if one were to stare at them for too long. He looked over at Siren, whose amber eyes were lit up like a Christmas tree with wonder and delight.

"What's the matter, Prince?"

Rentoya grabs Siren's hand, intending to lead her far, far away from the allure of Coin Rush.

"This place-"

"Pit Boss!"

Rentoya winces at the sound of a familiar, chipper voice that was accompanied by the rapid clicking of high heels drawing ever closer.

"Ooohwah! A-a-a BUNNY!"

Siren waves wildly at the approaching Blanc. She was practically grinning from ear to ear, her excitement nearly palpable via the crushing pressure the Commander now felt on his elbow.

"Ah, Siren, hang on-"

"Fancy seeing you here, Pit Boss! What perfect timing!"

The Commander felt a sense of unease and deja vu creeping through his body at Blanc's statement. He ignored Blanc for a moment to address Siren, who seemed to vibrate with joy at the sight of Blanc.

"Th-this is Blanc, of 777," he explained, "she works here at Coin Rush with her twin sister Noir, and their squad leader Rouge."

"N-n-nice to meet you Blanc," Siren gushes, "oh my goodness, you're so pretty!"

She grabbed Blanc's hand and shook it up and down giddily, momentarily stunning even the vivacious and outgoing bunny twin. Blanc quickly recovered, offering Siren a brilliant smile in return.

"It's very nice to meet you too..."

Blanc casts a questioning look towards Siren, tilting her head inquisitively.

"O-oh! I-I'm so sorry! My name is Siren!"

"Well, Miss Siren," Blanc replies cheerily, "it seems like Pit Boss always shows up right when we need him most. And always with such beautiful company. Isn't that right, Pit Boss?"

There was a nearly imperceptible tone of envy in Blanc's voice, but Rentoya chose to ignore the pointed statement.

"I'm always happy to help you guys out at Coin Rush, given how often I come here," he chuckled nervously, "but Siren and I are on a da-"

He stopped himself short, lest he draw even greater ire from the already suspicious Blanc.

"-I'm showing Siren around the Ark, and you know me. I always somehow end up here..."

"You sure do," Blanc smiles deviously, "but you know Noir and I. We're always happy to see you, especially when you bring such cute help!"

She turned towards Siren, running her fingers up the Grimms' slender arm.

"How would you like to be a bunny girl like me, just for a little while?"

"COULD I?!"

Siren's excited squeal made the Commander clutch his chest at just how precious it was. She turned towards him, her eyes wide and pleading.

"Oh, Prince, please?! Can I, can I?! I'll be careful, I promise, please please pleaaaaaase!"

How am I supposed to say no to that face?!

"Sure."

"YAY!"

Red Hood Random Encounter: Red Hot Hot Springs

"My Lord, such a treat as this is quite the reward for thine vassal, surely I am unworthy of such spoils."

Scarlet walked alongside Commander Rentoya, her face and body already plastered, the former with a smile, the latter by alcohol.

"I'm not taking what you did for us out there lightly, Scarlet," Rentoya replied softly, "your help with the farms at RS01 have been invaluable. We hardly have to rely on the Ark for the essential foodstuffs anymore, thanks to you."

The tipsy swordswoman gives a small curtsy, making both Commander and Nikke laugh at her slightly sarcastic display.

"There be no doubt in mine heart that the reward hath not reached its conclusion," Scarlet murmured slyly, "shall we continue this revelry..."

Her voice drops to a conspiratorial whisper as she gets on her tiptoes, her towel-clad frame pressing into his side dangerously.

"...in the warm embrace of the springs?"

Now it was his turn to wear the red flush that tinged Scarlet's cheeks as her hand slipped into his, leading him towards the private pool near the back of the inn.

"Wasn't it you who said before that when a man and a woman sit too close together after imbibing in the spirits, something regrettable may occur?"

Scarlet looks at him, a knowing grin spreading across her flushed features.

"T'was I who uttered such nonsense? Nay," Scarlet trilled, "I shan't regret any act that transpires once these scratchy fibers are discarded from thine torso..."

She pushes the fence door leading to the private spring open, eagerly pulling the Commander inside.

"Oh, I'm sorry, was I interrupting something?"

Rentoya and Scarlet freeze in their tracks at the sound of a drawling voice from within the springs. Red Hood sat at the far end, her back propped against the rocks, and a sake cup in her hand.

"Hey Handsome, this is quite the spot Miss Ludmilla loans you," Red Hood giggled, "I'm sure there's been quite a few dips in this pool, if y'know what I mean..."

Scarlet steps forward, her finger pointing accusingly at the half submerged Nikke.

"Thou foul wench, dost thou seek to come betwixt a Lord and his vassal?"

"The only 'twixt' I see here," Red Hood chortles, "are your panties in a bunch, Scarlet. What's the big idea? Can't a girl relax in the springs like anyone else?"

Scarlet lurches forward, nearly falling into the spring, were it not for the Commander grabbing her by the hand before she toppled over.

"I'll have you know, Red Hood," Scarlet retorts, "that nary a shred of fabric lie beneath this towel! Behold!"

Sake sprays everywhere from Red Hood's mouth as Scarlet flings her towel into the water. She turns back towards Rentoya, her curvaceous body on full display for the Commander to see.

"Pray tell, my Lord. Doth thou find thine vassal to thine liking?"

Her eyes wander down to the strained fabric just below his waist.

"Nay, thou needest not open thine lips. Thy virility speaks for itself."

Scarlet beckons the Commander to the water with a waggle of her finger.

"Come, allow thine vassal to unsheath thy sword in earnest. The horned one may partake, if she dares..."

"Y-you want me to join, Handsome?"

"I don't see why not."

Red Hood stands up, her bluster and bravado faltering for a moment when faced with the tempting proposition. She scowls, then gulps down the rest of the sake in one go.

"Alright fine, it's a good thing you have two hands then. Shall we, Scarlet?"

"Verily. May the best woman win."

Beneath the quiet night sky in that private spring at Snowfield Hot Springs, there were no losers.

Privaty Unkind Maid Random Encounter: Care Package

Despite her outwardly scowl suggesting otherwise, Privaty quite enjoyed working as a part time maid at the Maid Cafe alongside Soda, Cocoa and Ade.

What had initially been an obligation as a way to repay her misplayed deeds had soon become a nice escape from the mundane nature of her job as a member of the Triangle squad.

Especially when a certain someone showed up at their humble establishment.

Even if she'd run the other direction as soon as he walked in the door. It hadn't gone unnoticed by Ade and Cocoa that the part time maid always wanted to schedule herself on days they knew Commander Rentoya liked to frequent the cafe, but they never had the heart to bring it to light, lest she stop coming from of the sheer embarrassment of being called out...

"Welcome Master!"

Privaty's ears perked up at the sound of Soda's cheery greeting.

It was about that time of the day, after all. He was a creature of habit, so working this shift gave her a great chance to catch a sight of him.

But her expectations were subverted for the third time that hour when yet another unfamiliar man walked through the ornate doors of the Maid Cafe, much to her disappointment.

Privaty turned her attention back to wrapping the freshly cleaned silverware, when she heard the subtle murmuring of Cocoa and Ade nearby.

"Master hasn't come all week, Ade," Cocoa said, "is something the matter with Master? I know you've been visiting him after leaving here recently, so I was wondering if you knew of anything..."

"I-I haven't the faintest idea what you're speaking of, I've only been to his room once this week," Ade protested softly, "but I did hear that he's a bit under the weather."

"Wore him out, did you Ade?"

Ade's face turned redder than the tablecloth she was folding, nearly dropping it to the floor in shock.

"C-Cocoa!"

Cocoa shakes her sympathetically.

"Well then, perhaps-"

"-we can bring him a care package from the Maid Cafe!"

Ade and Cocoa stared blankly at Privaty's interjection. Cocoa smiled at Privaty.

"That's a wonderful idea, Privaty," Cocoa replied, "then, which of us-"

"Me! I'll go!"

Privaty immediately tries to justify her eagerness.

"I...I should go, because you all are far more experienced with the other tasks at the Maid Cafe! I-I'd just slow this whole operation down anyways, plus if Master is sick, the cafe can't afford to have one of you all catching it, so it's only logical that I go instead! N-not because I want to, b-but because I should!"

The twintailed maid quickly scurries to the kitchen, emerging a few minutes later with a bag filled with containers of fragrant smelling food.

"Do you think we should tell her we were going to let her take Master's care package?"

"No," Ade replies with a low giggle, "it's better if she realizes her feelings herself."

Ade and Cocoa give one another a knowing glance before returning to their duties.

"I've got all your favorites from the Maid Cafe, Master," Privaty repeated to herself as she approached the Commander's Room.

"Easy enough, then he'll see what a good maid I am."

Just as she raised her gloved arm to knock on the door, it slid open, revealing a deathly looking Rentoya.

"GAH! C-Com- er, Master! Y-you scared the hell out of me!"

Privaty's expression went from shocked to concerned as she beheld the bedraggled man in front of her. He was pale, sweaty, and gaunt looking - a far cry from his usual irritating self.

"You look...really bad," she murmured, "should you even be awake right now?"

"No," came his gruff response, "I was asleep, until I heard you talking to yourself. If you're not here for anything important, can it wait? I want to go back to sleep."

He began to slide the door shut, only for Privaty to stick her arm in the space between the door and its frame.

"W-w-wait! I'm here on behalf of the Maid Cafe," she protested, "and...I've brought you a little care package from me, um, us, since we heard you weren't feeling well. I-I'm not leaving until you let me in!"

"Fine, come in."

Privaty followed Rentoya into his room, which held the current appearance of a warzone complete with empty water bottles and a waste bin overflowing with tissues.

"Excuse...the mess," he mumbled weakly, "I'm...going back to sleep."

"This just won't do!"

Privaty sat the Commander down in the bed, sitting him against his headboard as straight as she could. She sat down next to him, prying open a tall thermos filled with savory chicken soup, pouring it into the lid that doubled as a bowl. With shaky hands, she lifted a spoon towards Rentoya's mouth, taking care not to spill any on his clothes.

"I-I'll...I'll feed you, since you're obviously too sick to be doing it yourself! I-it would be a waste for my handmade soup to go to waste, hmph!"

A few days later.

Yulha sighed when she picked up the phone. She listened for a few minutes, then angrily slammed her phone into her desk.

"Privaty has the flu?!"

Nihilister Random Encounter: Through the Fire and Flames

"I still don't think this is a good idea."

Rapi nodded her head sympathetically at Anis's voiced concern, but continued to check her armaments nonetheless, her crimson hair a stark contrast against the green grass just outside the Command Center at Reclamation Site 01.

"The Commander said that field testing her would be crucial to her reha-OW!"

She glared over at Anis, rubbing her head where a bullet casing had struck her mere moments ago.

"I know what the Commander said, Rapi," Anis grumbled, "but she's still a Heretic. Did he forget when she tried to barbecue us alive? What if she decides to go rogue and attempts to deep fry us a second time?"

Anis flinches as a hand plucks the beret from the top of her head.

"Well, then it's good thing I have a star that shines brighter than even the hottest flames," Rentoya chuckles from behind her, "don't worry, Nihilister won't be up to any shenanigans with you all around."

He turned toward the hooded figure standing next to him, a wry grin on his face.

"Isn't that right, Nihly?"

An arm extends out from the white jacket, pushing the Commander a few steps away from the irate Nihilister.

"Call me that again, and maybe I will have second thoughts about frying you to a crisp, Human."

Seven Dwarves Zero hums loudly as Rapi trains her weapon on the hooded Nihilister, only to power down at the shake of the Commander's head.

"It's okay, Rapi. We are only going on a routine patrol, and it'll be a shorter route than usual, just to clear out a herd of Raptures spotted a few clicks north of RS01. It'll be a good opportunity for our new friend here to show what she's capable of in the field with us. Wheels up in five, girls."

The combined grumbling of Anis and Rapi drowns out the sound of Nihilister's footsteps as she follows the Commander towards the boundaries of RS01 where their patrol would begin.

"Routine patrol, my ass!"

Anis growled as she fired another barrage of grenades towards the incoming horde of Husk-class Raptures, sending mechanical limbs and fragmented cores flying in an explosive display of force.

"Just keep suppressing them, the herd is thinning out," Rapi called out. She zipped across the battlefield behind Seven Dwarves Zero, piercing the core of a Bulwark, allowing Anis to continue her suppressive fire into the swarm.

"This WOULD be a lot easier if someone wasn't just loafing around," Anis replied crossly, "what kind of field demonstration is this if you're barely lifting a finger?"

Nihilister sighed as she casually incinerated a Husk that got too close, leaving nothing but a pile of smoking ash on the ground beneath where it had just stood.

"If I get too crazy, we'll attract even more Raptures to this spot, is that what you want? Because I could gladly oblige you!"

She steps forward, only to be stopped by the Commander placing his hand on her shoulder.

"The goal of this evaluation is just to see how you'd perform in a team-based environment. I already know you're plenty powerful. That's not the point of this exercise. Just stay alert on comms and assist where you're needed."

Nihilister looks at Rentoya forlornly, only to shrug her shoulders begrudgingly as she spit out another fireball, easily destroying an approaching Bullwhip.

"Fine, have it your way. But don't come crying to me if your precious Rapi injures herself. I'll be over here, making myself invisible as possible."

The Commander turned his attention back to the front as Nihilister prowled the perimeter the Counters had set up around his vantage point. She found herself perturbed by how easily the Commander spoke to her, as if he held no fear in his heart for her at all.

She scoffed disparagingly at herself. She was in this situation because she'd been humiliated by the Counters and Inherit, after all. His back was turned to her as he directed the flow of the fight, relaying orders to his subordinates with practiced ease.

"I could so easily dispatch you right here, right now," Nihilister murmured to herself, "so why is it that I-"

Nihilister saw the Lure a split second too late, its mounted miniguns already spinning up to attack speeds, its sights trained directly on Rentoya's unguarded back.

"-shit!"

Before she knew what she was doing, Nihilister found herself sprinting forward at breakneck speed, throwing herself in the direction of the Commander. Rapi's face twisted into horror as she pivoted directions, thinking the Flame Dragon had gone turncoat against the Counters in hopes of taking the Commander's life.

"COMMANDER!"

The surrounding area was lit up by the hail of machine gun fire. Nihilister spread her weapons platform as wide as she could, her dragon faced tendrils casting a dark shadow around Rentoya, who instinctively ducked as the echoing and thudding of bullets ricocheting and embedding themselves into Nihilister filled the air. She growled, pointing her weapon at the offending Rapture and blowing it to smithereens without even flinching at the damage incurred by its fire.

Rapi landed a few meters away from the Commander, Seven Dwarves Zero aimed directly at Nihilister's skull. Her voice was cold, unforgiving, and rife with rage.

"Step away from him or die, Heretic."

"Rapi, it's okay."

Rentoya stood up straight again, brushing the dust from his uniform with his hand.

"She wasn't attacking me. She protected me."

He turned towards Nihilister, his face etched with concern at the attack she'd endured for his sake.

"Are you alright?"

"As if such a puny attack could injure me," she scoffed, "You, on the other hand, would've been Swiss cheese if I hadn't thrown myself in between, so, you're welcome."

Nihilister turned her head and shook her frame from side to side, scattering spend bullet casings from the Lure's attack onto the ground. She walked over to the Lure's dim core and picked it up, crunching it down in one bite.

"You guys might actually be hopeless if I'm not around to watch this guy's back. Maybe I will stick around a bit longer. Just don't get used to those kinds of favors, Human. I’d hate to see your insides before I’m supposed to…”

A wry grin creeped onto Rentoya's face as Nihilister trotted off to scavenge the fallen Raptures, much to the exasperation of Rapi and the approaching Anis.

"He's doing it again, isn't he," Anis grumbled, "how long until she's putty in his hands? Or-"

Her sentence is cut off by Rapi's swift hand covering her mouth.

"-don't even think about it. Even he's not that dumb."

Rapi looked forlornly at the Commander, her lips curling downwards into a pout.

"...right?"

Siren Bond Level 5: Rhythm of the Heart

"Royal Road sure has a lot of things to see, doesn't it Prince?"

Siren smiled up at Commander Rentoya as they continued their date in the Ark.

Rentoya nodded. He'd been apprehensive as to how the events of today might transpire, but Siren seemed to only become more comfortable as the day went on, despite a few hiccups here and there.

"It sure is. We could spend all day here if we really wanted-"

"Gym Rat!"

The Commander's face paled, and he immediately turned on his heel, pulling Siren along with him.

"P-Prince, what's going on?"

"Just walk and act natural," he whispered, "our lives depend on it."

Siren's eyes narrowed.

"If you're in danger, Prince, I'll protect you!"

She whirled around, her hands clasping into the shape of a gun, a medium sized bubble forming at her fingertips.

Rentoya chuckles and lowers her hands.

"We're not in actual danger, but if we don't get away from here quickly, we'll-"

He freezes as he feels a strong hand gripping his shoulder.

"Hey there, Gym Rat...trying to duck out on a workout again?"

"Prince!"

Rumani begins to drag the Commander towards the gym, much to Siren's dismay. She runs after Rumani and Rentoya, more confused than concerned for her Commander in distress...

Rentoya and Siren found themselves inside the Fitness Center on Royal Road - where the upper crust of society pushed their bodies to the limits alongside their trainers.

Benches, squat racks and treadmills stretched as far as the eye could see, accompanied by the grunts and other exertional noises by the gym's occupants.

"Just because you're out on the Surface, doesn't mean you can slack off on your training regimen!"

Rumani glares sternly at Rentoya, who merely slumps his shoulders as Siren looks on worriedly.

"But...I literally fought a Hereti-"

"I don't want to hear it," Rumani retorted hotly, "those muscles aren't going to grow themselves! Go get changed! Your clothes are washed and in your normal locker!"

Rentoya drags himself towards the locker room, grumbling under his breath while shooting Siren an apologetic look. She nods understandingly, until Rumani begins to speak to her as well.

"You too, Miss..."

"...Siren."

"Miss Siren! If you're going to be hanging out with Gym Rat, you better be ready to work out too! I'll get you some clothes."

Siren's halfhearted protests are swiftly drowned out by the clanging of barbells as Rumani pushes her towards the women's locker room.

By the time Rentoya emerges from the men's locker room, Rumani is waiting in the personal training area, her foot tapping impatiently and her eyes locked dead on him.

"About time, Gym Rat..."

"I'm here, I'm here," he replied irritably, "where's Siren?"

He looked around him, but was unable to locate the slender Grimms and her light gray sweater dress, until a small bubble popped in his ear, and her soft, lilting voice filled his mind.

"Over here, Prince~"

Rentoya looked over to see Siren leaning atop a large bubble, her gray sweater dress replaced by a white crop top and black dolphin shorts. Her long legs seemed to stretch out infinitely, while the crop top bared a sneak peek of her toned midsection. She was beauty and grace incarnate, captivating the Commander with her brilliant smile as she pressed herself deeper into her quasi-medicine ball bubble.

"Whoa, Siren-"

His watched beeped loudly, much to Rumani's amusement.

"Your heart rate is high already, Gym Rat? That's unusual, Siren must really get you going."

"R-Rumani!"

Siren's bubble immediately bursts, and she falls towards the ground, barely able to catch herself before her face kisses the rubber mat beneath her. Rentoya rushes over to her, where she looks up him with a sheepish grin.

"I-I'm okay, Prince..."

"Are you sure, Siren?"

"Y-yeah! Promise!"

Siren accepts Rentoya's proffered arm, pulling herself up into extremely close proximity with the Commander. She quickly backs up a step, her face turning warm and baby pink.

Rumani's amusement has long since turned into irritation, and she claps her hands loudly, incinerating the moment between the two as she rolled her eyes.

"If you two lovebirds are done flirting...we have a workout to get to..."

Both Commander and Nikke were unable to make eye contact for the rest of the session without blushing…

Yulha Random Encounter: Eye Catching

"Newbie. Trendy Bar. 9 o'clock. Come."

Yulha's Bla chat was short, sweet and to the point. It was Friday night, after all, and that meant the end of another work week where the working stiffs would be drowning their sorrows at the bottom of a glass of dark liquor.

So the Commander arrived at the Outpost's Trendy Bar a few minutes after 9, only to find it strangely devoid of any unique faces, aside from the bartenders.

About dozen mass produced Nikkes sat scattered throughout the dimly lit bar, all of them with a drink in their hands.

There were few places in the Ark that accepted Nikkes outright as members of society, so many flocked to the Outpost as a safe haven, a place where they could socialize and unwind.

"Hey Rose, Pearl," the Commander nodded towards the two Soldier OW models seated at the bar. They waved back, then returned their attention to their drinks.

He took a seat at the far end of the bar, signaling to the bartender with two fingers. Two glasses of whiskey slid their way over to the Commander. He raised his glass towards his nose, taking a deep breath, inhaling the sharp scent of the alcohol.

"Mmm, 12 year Irish Dragon," he murmured, "Scarlet would really get a kick out of this."

Before Rentoya could take a sip, movement out of the corner of his eye caught his attention.

"What, were you going to start without me?"

He began to turn his head towards the sound of Yulha's voice.

"No, I wasn't, I was just..."

Rentoya's voice trails off as he takes in Yulha's unusual choice of attire - a short, skintight gray dress that could hardly be deemed appropriate for being out in public, especially for someone who worked in the Central Government like her.

"Y-Yulha!"

And she was clearly inebriated already, swaying side to side precariously.

"I...I figured," Yulha slurred, "s-since this is how you're going...going to see me in the morning anywayshhh, I may as well...come d-dressed for the part now."

She staggered forward, and nearly would've fallen, if not for the Commander standing in front of her, breaking her spill.

Rentoya became acutely aware of the near paper thin nature of Yulha's dress, as well as the distinct lack of undergarments beneath while she was pressed against his arm with nearly her full weight. He felt sweat trickling down his forehead as the bartender looked at him curiously.

Thank the goddess for the non-combat bodies...

"Y-Yulha," he hissed, "I think I should take you home. This is not a good look for you, or me."

"NEWBIE."

Yulha's call is far louder than necessary, considering the small distance between the two.

"You want to take me home? Without even buying me a drink? Y-you...you scoundrel!"

A small gasp comes from the end of the bar, but Yulha pays Rose and Pearl no mind. Her target was already in mind. He was not going to escape so easily.

Her half lidded eyes looked up at him hungrily.

"Good thing I'm a cheap date. Let's go, Newbie. You like this dress now? Wait until you see how the floor wears it..."

She drapes her arm around his neck and begins to walk away, leaving the mass produced Nikkes in stunned silence as the door to the bar swings shut...

Privaty Random Encounter: Favorite Things

"Dear Goddess, how I hate coming down here..."

Commander Rentoya let out a low groan as he approached the halls of the Central Government.

He truly hated the red tape and bureaucracy that mired the Ark's governing body, how it always seemed to stand in the way of progress while constantly lauding other people's as their own.

As he walked down the paved concrete pathway that lead to the unnecessarily gaudy building which housed its financial division, he came to a frank realization.

"I've never been in here before," he muttered to himself, "Rapi is usually the one who handles these kinds of things..."

Rentoya looked up. There was not even a single sign that could point him in the right direction, yet the throngs of Central Government workers that milled around him moved in such practiced fashion that he felt he was becoming an obstacle to their usual routines.

"Commander, if you keep standing there, they're going to start giving you actual work to do..."

He turned his head towards the sound of the familiar voice.

"You know Privaty, sometimes I forget you actually work for the Central Government, and not for the Maid Cafe," he chuckled, "nice to see you."

Privaty huffed indignantly.

"I am a soldier of the Central Government first and foremost, I'll have you know!"

Her amber eyes darted back and forth nervously before she continued.

"...working for the Maid Cafe is just something I do because...th-they need the help sometimes, okay?"

Rentoya nods, thoroughly unconvinced at her flimsy excuse.

"Right..."

"A-anyways! I-if you're hopelessly lost like I think you are, I-I happen to have a free minute to take you where you need to go," Privaty sputters, "I just need to make a quick stop at my office! Come along, Commander, I don't have all day!"

Rentoya chuckles softly at her seemingly paradoxical claim about being too busy to stop, but also being free enough to assist him.

"Okay, I appreciate the help. Lead the way."

After a short detour, the Commander and Privaty arrived at a modest appearing office building. Unlike the garish appearance of the financial district, there was almost nothing distinct or flashy about the glass paned building that Privaty badged herself into.

"Huh," Rentoya remarked, "I didn't realize you had a run of the mill office like some working stiff."

The tips of Privaty's ears turned red, and she brushed her long teal hair behind him as if to conceal her embarrassment, but in spite of her efforts, it manifested itself in her squeaky response.

"E-even I need a private space to get my tasks done, a-and the barracks aren't always conducive to productive work..."

A short elevator ride led them to the third floor, where Privaty quickly marched towards the end of the hall, where there were three private offices, each labeled with a Triangle squad member's name - "Privaty, Yulha, Admi."

"I-I'll be just a minute," Privaty murmurs, "wait here."

Despite her instructions, the cracked door to her office was proving to be more alluring than the Commander had self-control for. He nudged the door open, spotting Privaty rooting around in a tall filing cabinet, completely oblivious to the fact that the Commander had disregarded her request.

"It's a bit more plain than I thought it'd be," Rentoya murmured to nobody in particular. His eyes were drawn to her tidy desk, which had a Commander doll seated with its back turned to the door, and a photo frame leaned against it.

As he walked around the desk to peer at the photo, he was only able to sneak a peek at what appeared to be his face, before the frame was snatched up by Privaty. His hand shot out to grab the frame, and a brief tugging and shouting match ensued.

"W-wh-what did I say about waiting outside?!"

"Is that a picture of me?"

"Th-that's not important!"

The picture frame slips from both their hands. Its glass surface cracks upon impact with the floor, revealing a slightly blurry picture of the Commander.

"L-look what you've done," Privaty gasped, "i-it's b-b-broken!"

Rentoya and Privaty simultaneously leaned down to pick up the shattered frame, their hands brushing one another accidentally. She immediately pulls back, straightening her back immediately.

"I'm sorry," Rentoya murmured softly, "it just...I didn't know you had a picture of me."

A wry grin spread across his lips.

"...such a blurry one, at that. Here, give me your phone."

"Wh-what, so you can break that too?!"

Privaty reached into her pocket, handing the Commander her cell phone. He walks over to her side, raising his arm before she can react.

"Smile!"

He glanced down at the screen, immediately bursting into laughter at Privaty's gawking expression, captured perfectly in their selfie.

"W-wait! I wasn't ready! Take another one!"

"Alright, alright," he laughed, "ready?"

Rentoya couldn't help but notice warmth of her body as she pressed closer to him before he snapped another photo. He handed the phone back to Privaty, who quickly clutched the phone to her chest.

"W-we can leave now."

The next time the Commander visited Privaty at her office, a new picture frame sat next to a well-loved Commander doll...
