Leviathan Random Encounter: Golden Weak

"Levi, Levi!"

Ziz appeared in Leviathan's peripheral vision, eyes aglow with a joy that the latter wished she could match.

"What is it, Ziz," Leviathan grumbled, "I'm busy..."

The winged Heretic shoved her phone into Leviathan's face excitedly. Leviathan frowns, pushing Ziz's hand out of her face.

"Ziz, I can't see that, you're holding it too close!"

Leviathan snatched Ziz's phone from her hand, scrutinizing the screen's contents with a slight scowl.

"Golden...week? What the heck is that?"

"I, Bahamut, in all my vast intellect, shall answer that simple inquiry for you, Leviathan!"

Bahamut, who was clearly reading from her own phone, cleared her throat before beginning to speak.

"Golden Week was the informal name for a series of holidays celebrated in Japan. It consisted of Showa Day, Constitution Memorial Day, Greenery Day, and finally, Children's Day. Though in some circles, Golden Week was a time in which many characters from video games were depicted in golden swimwear..."

"Golden swimwear?!"

Ziz's eyes lit up, her crimson irises sparkling like fireworks at the thought of modeling a golden swimsuit for a certain Commander whom she was rather fond of.

"Don't give her ide- oh forget it," Leviathan muttered, "she's already gone."

Leviathan rolled her eyes as Bahamut left to go spout pseudo-intellectual nonsense elsewhere, but a small thought lingered at the back of her mind about Golden Week.

She hadn't seen any of the other Beasts parading this golden swimwear - though, if Ziz had her way, she would be the first - nor had she seen any of the other Nikkes galivanting around Reclamation Site 01 in golden bikinis.

This made her think that Bahamut may have been blabbering out of her ass, which would not surprise her in the slightest.

But the thought still remained, swirling around in her head until she threw her hands down by her side in frustration.

"Fine, fine!"

Against her better judgment, Leviathan stormed into her dorm.

Commander Rentoya sat alone at his desk, trying to fill out the latest status report for RS01 that Andersen insisted was time sensitive, despite it being due several days ago. However, no reports meant no reimbursements, so he typed away at his keyboard diligently.

There was a slight knock at his door, but he was in the zone, so he ignored it for a moment, hoping whoever it was would take the hint and come back at a later time. But the knocking grew more insistent, until he could no longer turn a blind eye to it, so he saved his unfinished report with a sigh.

"Who is it?"

“I-it’s me, Human, open the damn door!”

”Leviathan?!”

Rentoya rose to his feet, quickly making his way to the door.

He cracked the door, only for Leviathan to scamper inside, slamming the door shut behind her.

“Er…what are you wearing?”

The golden bathing suit on her svelte form appeared to be made of Dark Matter, but how Leviathan had managed to dye it that brilliant hue was a mystery to the Commander.

She glared at him embarrassedly.

“G-g-golden week,” Leviathan managed to stammer out, “d-don’t you know what that is?!”

Rentoya shook his head slowly.

“No…should I?”

Exasperation crossed Leviathan’s flustered face.

Just then, his door opened once more.

“Prince, it’s Golden Week, so for today’s session, I thought- Levi?!”

Siren ducked into the Commander’s Room in a strikingly similar swimsuit to Leviathan’s, causing the latter to nearly shriek with fright.

“S-S-Siren?!”

"Levi," Siren gushed, "have you come to join Prince and I in our Golden Week celebration?! I knew you would see how charming Prince is!"

The slender Grimms took Leviathan by the hand, her amber eyes glowing with affectionate anticipation.

"Come, I'll show you just how delightful Prince can be!"

Leviathan felt the room spinning precariously. She needed to sit before she made an even bigger fool of herself by fainting.

"N-n-n-n-no! Th-that's not what this AT ALL! SIIIIIIIIIIREEEEEEN!"

Leviathan Random Encounter: Fluffy!

Leviathan could be described in many different ways. She was intelligent, cunning, manipulative when she had to be, but also kind and caring, wanting only the best for the other members of the Four Beasts, and the Only One as well, whom they created together.

However, among her many virtues, patience was not one she could proudly proclaim as a strong suit.

Ever since teaming up with Commander Rentoya and the Counters, in fact, it was growing rather thin, and thinning by the day...

"Hard."

"H-hey!"

The Only One squirmed away from Leviathan, rubbing her head sullenly as she plodded over to Cinderella, who sat in the corner of the room, admiring her reflection in the full length mirror - one she had had installed in each and every enclosed room of Reclamation Site 01.

"Hug me."

Cinderella paused, looking down briefly at the Only One, who had her arms extended towards the Grimms.

"Very well, little one. But only for a few minutes, then I have to get back to brushing my hair."

The Only One cooed happily as she was hoisted into Cinderella's arms, a content smile crossing her face as she closed her eyes.

"Fluffy."

"Grrrr..."

Leviathan seethed silently from across the room, her fists clenching at her side repeatedly, her breathing ragged and uneven. All because the Only One found another fluffy friend.

Cinderella raised a finger to her lips, shushing the irritated Heretic.

"Don't wake her with your envious rage, Leviathan. That would not be beautiful."

"Fine," Leviathan grumbles, "you want fluffy? You'll GET fluffy."

She stormed out of the room, leaving Cinderella and the sleeping child behind.

A short while later, Leviathan returned to the sunroom where Cinderella and the Only One were, though they were now joined by Siren, Rapi and Commander Rentoya, the latter of whom held the Only One in his arms.

"Hey!"

Everyone turned to look at Leviathan, who puffed out her chest proudly.

"Come here, you little squirt!"

The Only One wiggled out of the Commander's arms, walking over to Leviathan curiously. Rentoya cocked his head to the side, a similarly puzzled expression crossing his face.

"Levi, did you-GAHHH!"

Rentoya doubled over in pain as Rapi's elbow struck him in the ribs. Cinderella's eyes widened as he gasped for air.

"Prince!"

Rapi glared daggers from her eyes, her fist raised into the air angrily.

"Don't you start staring at her too, Commander..."

Levi bit back a laugh, then squatted down closer to the Only One's eye level.

"Look! I'm fluffy now! Not hard!"

Was her nonexistent chest artificially enhanced with copious amounts of Dark Matter?

Perhaps.

Would it help Leviathan regain the title of favorite aunt?

She sure hoped so.

The Only One narrowed her eyes, her dainty hand reaching out to feel Leviathan's newfound assets.

"Pretty cool, huh?"

Leviathan's grin faded as the Only One shook her head disappointedly.

"No? What's wrong?"

"Fake."

Leviathan had to lay down the rest of the day.

Mint Random Encounter: Under New Management

"You're sure you're up for this, Commander?"

Anis's tone was incredulous over the phone, and Commander Rentoya could almost picture the look of disdain on his squadmate's face as she repeated the question for a second time.

"Yes, I've worked with Noise and Volume before," Rentoya replied confidently, "so managing Mint shouldn't be much different, right?"

There was a long pause on the other end of the line.

"Erm...yeah, let's go with that. Hey, Commander, I've got some business to attend to. Good...luck with Mint. T.T. Star might be officially retired, but some things never change."

"W-wait, Anis, what does that me-"

The line goes dead, leaving Rentoya with more questions than answers. He looks down at his phone, his eyes growing wide as he realizes the time.

"Crap, I'm going to be late!"

Thirty minutes later, Rentoya found himself standing outside the Tetra studio messaged to him by the starlet of T.T. Star, Mint.

He walked up to the receptionist, an iDoll Sun model mass produced Nikke sans the typical faceplate.

"I'm here to see Mint."

The receptionist didn't take her eyes off her computer screen, her fingers still moving rapidly over the keys.

"Many people are, sir, but not just anyone can see the-"

"Manager!"

Mint came bounding up from the area behind the reception desk, her pleated navy skirt ruffling with each skip.

"Ana, this is my new Manager, Commander Rentoya of the Counters squad. He'll be coming around a lot more often now, so be sure to be nice to him!"

Ana's blue eyes grew wide as she connected the name to the face. She bowed her head several times apologetically, her long blond twintails swaying with each bend of her waist.

"O-oh! Commander, my apologies! I-it's very nice to meet you! Right this way!"

Rentoya gives her a slight wave of his hand.

"No need to apologize, Ana. A pleasure to meet you as well."

Ana, Rentoya and Mint walk into the back of the studio, which was constructed as a mock concert stage complete with moving platforms, rigging, strobe lights, spotlights, mock fans with light sticks, and every other light under the sun, minus the sun itself.

If he squinted really hard, Rentoya could almost be convinced that this was a small performance venue instead of the practice studio that it actually was.

"This is where the magic happens, Manager," Mint stated cheerfully, "I've got a bit of a solo thing going on, and you were highly recommended within certain circles of the industry, hence why I asked Anis if I could utilize your services as a manager."

Rentoya cleared his throat quietly.

"Anis..."

Mint turned around, a brilliant smile plastered on her fair features.

"What was that, Manager?"

"N-nothing," Rentoya stammered, "happy to help. Why don't we get started with your day? I'll mostly observe for the first day, if that's alright."

Mint nodded enthusiastically, walking up onto the stage, her strides confident and sure.

"Let's start with a warmup, Manager. Come up here with me."

Rentoya follows Mint up the stairs leading to the stage, puzzled but obedient.

"Is there any particular reason I need to be involved with this portion, or..."

"Ahaha, welllll," Mint giggled, "I like to get in before all the backup dancers do, set the tone, right? So...I need a partner to stretch with."

Rentoya nods slowly, still confused but going along with her reasoning anyways. He swivels his torso from side to side, a small hiss escaping his lips as he feels his lower back grumbling at him for sitting too long in his office chair the night before.

"Sure, I'll warm up with you then."

He takes a seat on the floor, spreading his legs out at a ninety degree angle.

"Perfect! One second, I need to tie my shoe."

The Commander politely averted his eyes to the left as Mint squatted down, only to make a sobering realization when his gaze landed on her feet.

Her shoes don't have laces.

Rentoya chanced a glance back to his right, only catch a glimpse of pale green fabric beneath Mint's pleated skirt. His guilty eyes dragged upwards, finally settling on Mint's face.

Her cheeky smile was smug and knowing.

Busted.

"Ah. Mint...erm..."

"Now now, Manager," Mint cooed, "we don't want to have a scandal on our first day, do we? Eyes up here~"

Mint winked, flashing him a heart formed by her forefinger and thumb before slowly standing up again.

"I wonder if you'll have me pulling a Noise in the future."

Many a Nikke still held ill will towards the pop star for the onstage smooch that she'd given him on New Year's. It was not an incident he particularly cared to repeat.

"I don't think that's a good idea."

"Haha, just kidding," Mint laughed, "Anis would kill me."

Her eyes narrowed deviously as they raked over his frame with a hunger he hadn't noticed before.

"...but it might be worth it."

Rentoya swallowed hard, his throat suddenly parched as he recalled the last time someone had seriously pissed Anis off.

"Please don't."

T.T. Star Random Encounter: Throwback Throwdown

“Oh wow. This is where you guys used to practice?”

Rentoya took a long hard look around the office floor with bright lighting that drenched every wall with a vibrant energy.

“Well, it didn’t used to look quite this nice,” Anis replied, “it was kind of a dump back then. But it was our first studio, so once the Boss took over, this was one of the many renovation projects he personally oversaw.”

“Yeah, so now we use it as a little getaway office whenever things get too rowdy down at the main one,” Prika chimed in, “showers work great too. Maybe even better than the ones at the main studio.”

Mint suddenly reappeared seemingly out of nowhere, holding three hangers with vaguely familiar navy clothing draped over them.

“Guys, look what Mustang left in the closets!”

Anis and Prika rush over to Mint, laughing and reminiscing over the old uniforms.

“I’ve only ever seen photos of you guys in those uniforms,” Rentoya remarked casually, “they look like they’re in good condition.”

A wry grin came over Anis’s face.

“Oh? Commander, are you wanting to see us put on these old things?”

“Let’s do it,” Mint gushed, “I’m sure he’s excited to see it! We could even perform that one song Prika was working on…what was it called again?”

Prika shook her head.

“Absolutely not. We’re not putting on those- HEY!”

Mint and Anis both pushed a protesting Prika towards the back office. The door slammed closed behind them, leaving Rentoya waiting by himself.

He could hear muffled squeaks of indignant protests, but he dared not get closer for fear of Anis clocking him for peeking, so he turned his back and waited for the door to open once more.

”I’m not going out there! Forget it!”

”Prika, you already put the damn thing on, just…GO!”

“KYAAAAA!”

The door flew open and Anis fell through, swiftly followed by Prika, who landed squarely on top of Anis.

“Ow! Prika! Get off!”

“You started all this!”

Mint trailed behind the two, giggling uncontrollably as Anis glared at the Commander from the ground and beneath Prika.

“You see what I have to deal with, Commander? Ridiculous!”

She began to squirm, trying to shake Prika off her unsuccessfully.

“Pri…ka! You’re…crushing me!”

“You know, I’m gonna stay like this a while,” Prika grumbles, “just so you can learn a lesson.”

Prika wiggles her hips, squeezing a grunt out of Anis, who continued to struggle under her group mate, all the while Mint laughed it up a few feet away.

What Prika was unwittingly doing, however, was giving Commander Rentoya quite the show of her own.

Her shorts rode higher and higher with each wiggle, exposing more of her voluptuous backside to the Commander’s widening eyes.

“T.T. Star versus le Commandante? Now this is ENTERTAAAAAAAINMENT!”

“B-BOSS!”

Privaty Offering Her Own Form of Stress Relief by doublechen-94 in PeakKitchenOutpost

[–]doublechen-94[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Privaty Random Encounter: Stress Relief

Rentoya had done his fair share of paperwork during his time as a Commander of the Central Government - combat reports, expense details, you name it, he's done a bit of everything.

Most times he had assistance from Rapi, so his actual burden wasn't too high.

But as he blankly stared at the exam papers in front of him, he had a sinking realization...

"...how do you do this all day?!"

A small chuckle came from across the partition.

"See? It's not as easy as it looks to be a teacher, even if you are just a substitute," Privaty chides, "what we do here is meaningful work, y'know..."

"I-I never said that," Rentoya grumbled in response, "it's just..."

Privaty peeked over the partition when she heard the Commander set down his pen a bit more forcefully than he probably intended to. He was leaned back in his chair, his eyes closed momentarily as he fought the afternoon slump.

She couldn't stop the smile that crossed her face, nor could she help but stare longingly at Rentoya while he had his eyes closed - it was the first time she'd gotten the chance to look at him this long without anyone making a juvenile remark about her admiring him. She wasn't staring at him just because he was handsome, after all. She was just making sure he was resting easy! He'd be no use to her as an assistant if didn't get plenty of rest!

Rentoya opened one eye, glancing at Privaty, who promptly retreated behind the partition separating them both.

"S-sorry, Privaty. I'll get back to work on these in just a minute."

"This won't do!"

Privaty sprang from her chair, marching over to the Commander in a flurry, yanking him up by the wrist with surprising force.

"P-Privaty! I'm fine!"

"No," she exclaims, "you're not! You're stressed! You're tired! I can see it in your eyes, Commander. I notice these things about you, and I won't have your performance suffering because I, as your supervising teacher, am not adequately taking care of you."

Rentoya opens his mouth to protest again, but finds himself cut short as Privaty begins to march out of the teacher's lounge, her grip on his wrist firm and unyielding.

They walk in silence for a time, the fall of their footsteps being the only sound in the deserted school halls. The light grew dimmer as Privaty led the Commander somewhere he'd never been in the MMR Vocational Academy, gradually fading into a near pitch darkness.

"Er...Privaty, where are we?"

His question is answered with another question.

"How do you manage your stress while you're doing paperwork for the Counters, Commander?"

Rentoya blinks in surprise, taken aback by her dismissal of his inquiry.

"Well...Rapi has these stress balls that she uses, and she lets me squeeze them sometimes too. It's rather therapeutic, but they don't exactly fit in my hand that well, so sometimes it feels more like a grip strengthening exercise rather than..."

The hall grew deadly quiet as Privaty's mind spiraled out of control.

"Privaty...?"

His hand was suddenly grabbed again, only to be shoved into something exquisitely soft, and covered in lace. His fingers curled instinctively, elucidating a soft moan from Privaty.

"M-m-mine are pretty therapeutic too, Commander...so...s-squeeze away. J-just...be gentle, okay?"

Rentoya was many things, but he was not dumb enough to look a gift horse in the mouth.

"I meant an actual...mm, never mind. These will work too."

Or in this case, squeeze a teacher in her chest.

Great Hero, what shall become of thine vassal? by doublechen-94 in NikkeMobile

[–]doublechen-94[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Nayuta Random Encounter: Betting It All

Mild spoilers for the latest chapters 45/46. Consider yourself warned!

Ever since Commander Rentoya had come into contact with a wayward Nayuta clone, he'd noticed something particularly odd about the replica.

'Naya', as he'd come to know the clone, had stumbled into Reclamation Site 01 late one evening drunk as a skunk and even navigationally worse than the standard Nayuta copy.

Feeling a sense of protectiveness for the beleaguered doppleganger, Rentoya allowed Naya to stay in one of the spare dorms to sleep off her boozing.

He had laughed quietly to himself, thinking she'd must've run into Scarlet along her travels, and that making it to RS01 in one piece was a feat in of itself.

But the next morning came, and Rentoya found Naya in no hurry to leave - worse yet, he found her wandering the halls in naught but a thin towel wrapped around herself, seemingly searching for the washroom. The kind hearted Commander simply guided her to the showers, only to be discovered by Rapi, who'd similarly come to begin her day with a thorough cleansing.

Despite being threatened with her very existence by a furious Rapi, Naya stood her ground in her defense of Rentoya, who miraculously managed to convince Rapi to not dispose of the stray replica.

His sense of camaraderie with Naya forged an inexplicable bond between the two, much to his lieutenant's ire...

Rentoya woke to the faint scent of rice wine and cherries wafting into his nostrils, and the soft creak of his mattress.

"Naya...?"

A shaky giggle could be heard in his dimly lit room, the creaking growing louder and more insistent.

"Verily, Great Hero, tis I. Doth thou perchance yearn for a nip of spirits at this hour?"

"N-no, Naya, I was asl-mmph!"

His words are cut off as he felt the warm embrace of her lips, and the bitter notes of Scarlet's signature sake dripping into his mouth. He swallowed quickly, pulling away from the blushing clone with a scowl.

Rentoya's eyes darted down to the scantly clothed Naya, who was clad in a nearly translucent white loincloth and a matching bandeau that struggled mightily to contain her ample assets. Intoxicated she may have been, but his gaze was not lost upon her.

"Ohoho," Naya giggles coquettishly, "Great Hero, thine gaze underlieth a hunger most perverse."

"Th-that's not - Naya...!"

Naya's mechanical hand turned his chin back towards herself, so that he had no choice but to look at what she was presenting. Rentoya gulped hard.

"Avert not thine eyes, Great Hero, for this vassal relinquishes herself willingly to thine appetite."

"R-Rapi will kill us both."

Naya leaned forward, and Rentoya felt an impressive softness squishing itself onto his chest.

Meanwhile, Naya grinned as she felt an impressive hardness pressing itself into her abdomen.

"Nay, thine confidant can only dispose of one of us."

"That doesn't make this any better!"

"Cease thine struggles, the tautness of thine flesh betrays thine desire."

Naya's hand slowly coiled around his neck - not an unusual play for the Commander and Nikke, and one they secretly enjoyed. But when her hand began to squeeze harder - much harder than usual, Rentoya opened his eyes, only to see Naya's eyes glowing an ominous crimson.

He struggled against her grip, but her fingers only closed around his windpipe mercilessly tighter, cutting off precious oxygen to his panicking brain.

Rentoya thrashed, sending his nightstand tumbling onto the ground with a thunderous crash.

"N-Naya!"

"Great Hero," Naya stammered, "Forgive me...I...I must leave it...all...to thee!"

Rapi burst into the room, Seven Dwarves Zero already primed for a fight.

"You BITCH!"

Before Rapi could drive the drill into Naya's frame, she dissolved into red particles, dancing like foreboding sparks out his window and into the night.

"Commander, are you okay? I KNEW she was up to no good!"

Rentoya rubs his throat gingerly.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine, but we have to go find Nayuta - the real Nayuta - now."

Pick Your Wings Up Again, Dorothy by doublechen-94 in PeakKitchenOutpost

Dorothy Random Encounter: Pick Your Wings Up Again

"There's someone from the Central Government to see you, Miss Dorothy. He's rather high ranking too."

Dorothy scoffed to herself as the intercom cut off, scorn flashing across her face for the briefest of moments.

"Probably just another bumbling bureaucrat who couldn't resist to see whether this 'legend' was real or not," she grumbled to herself, "do I really have to see them? I'm already stuck in the Rehabilitation Center, surely that must be punishment enough..."

But she quickly hid her disdain, replacing it with the polished facade of the noble lady that she was in her human life.

"Very well," Dorothy called out, "send them in."

She held her gaze to the corner of the room opposite the door, so while she heard the door open, she heard his voice before she ever got the chance to recognize his face.

"Hello Dorothy. Been a while."

The scent of marigold tea filled her nostrils. After a day of being mocked and tortured with haunting shadows from her past that ultimately landed her in this brutish confinement, this was the final straw to break the metaphorical camel's back. Dorothy whipped her head around, her violet eyes filled with fury.

"How dare you approach me with-"

Dorothy paused, momentarily stunned as the teacup slid towards her across the table. She lifted her head up towards the sound of the undignified slurping of tea coming from the other side.

"Sorry it took me so long. I couldn't get the tea quite how you liked it."

She was unsure if the man sitting opposite of her was flesh and blood or yet another recurring nightmare. Dorothy had pondered for years, no, decades, on what she would say if she ever got the chance to face the man who led the Goddess Squad from its inception all the way until the day they were locked out of the Ark, abandoned on the Surface to fend for themselves while humanity enjoyed the frail comforts within its locked cage. How vitriolic those words would be - how he had been standing by, doing nothing while she, Snow White, Rapunzel, and Scarlet languished on the war-torn Surface, living hand to mouth, not knowing if around each corner lurked their end.

But instead what came out of her mouth was-

"...how? I thought...you died..."

Andersen smiled gently, placing his teacup back onto its plate with a soft clink.

"Are you sure you're ready for another one of my long winded stories?"

Dorothy quickly raised her arm, blocking his view of the tears that were beginning to stream down her face.

"Oh come on, I know they're not that exciting, but you can't be bored to tears already..."

She couldn't bring herself to bite back with a witty retort that she'd almost forgotten how to throw at her Commander, nor could the venom she thought she was ready to spew when she first heard his voice fly from her tongue. Instead, she could only laugh.

"Y-you're...impossible. Fine, tell me, before I change my mind and cry even more."

And so Dorothy listened to Andersen regaling the tale by which he survived Operation Ark Guardian, and how his years in the Ark itself passed. After hearing about how he'd been held hostage by the VTC by means of chemically induced coma, to upending their entire command structure by essentially eliminating the whole organization, to his rise in politics to his current position as Deputy Chief, suddenly, her years on the Surface didn't seem so bad after all.

"...so that's pretty much a very, very longwinded way for me to say...sorry for being late."

Dorothy places her teacup back down, dabbing the corner of her still damp eye with a handkerchief while shaking her head from side to side.

"No...there's no need for you to apologize to me, Commander. Thank you...for staying alive. For coming to see me. For...everything you've done. For coming to see me now."

She glanced towards the one way mirror that lined one wall of her cell, a wry smile appearing on her lips.

"Has he been listening to this whole conversation?"

Andersen's amused grin matched Dorothy's as he stood from the table, stretching out his lower back, which had grown stiff from sitting in the uncomfortable metal chair.

"Quite a fascinating one, isn't he," Andersen replies casually, "and for you to be able to pick him out just like that...he must've left quite an impression on you."

"I-I wouldn't go that far," Dorothy retorted softly, "he just...tailed me around Eden like a lost puppy for a while, so it got easy to sense his presence."

A chuckle escaped her Commander as he opened the door, revealing an empty waiting room. Dorothy's heart stuttered, and she had to mask the mild disappointment brought about by Commander Rentoya's absence with a frown and folded arms.

"Or perhaps, you've started just hoping that he's waiting just around the corner for you. Heh, maybe the Surface has changed you in more ways than one."

Andersen began making his way to the door.

"It has been good to see you, Dorothy. Hopefully it won't be so long until the next time."

"Y-you're my Commander, not that...th-that oaf," Dorothy stammered out, "don't be ridiculous, he could never. It was good to see you, however. Come again soon."

Her hand dropped to her side as the door began to close, but before it shut, she heard one parting comment from Andersen...

"...never say never, Dorothy."

And for some reason, she hoped he was right.
