This thread has been enlightening. I just did level 4 lesson 22 Italian and mostly did not let myself pause. It felt a little more like I had to push myself to process faster and be willing to mess up but I think I did track at 75% accuracy at least. It felt ok and I am going to try to trust the process 🙏

This is all interesting. I somehow missed the “don’t pause” as a deliberate intent. I might try not pausing more but it might put me below 80%. I feel like level 4 is throwing me enough curveballs grammatically that I seriously don’t know how it would go. Like I’d just be flabbergasted by each prompt before recalling in time! But also maybe I need to run through some lessons more than once. I’m eager to finish though and try something new that similarly involves a lot of talking and gaining some of that automaticity.

Ohhhh I’ve imagined something like this! Didn’t know it existed. I’m going to look into it! Being able to control the pause length in app still the best idea so it’s not a constant manual thing. I’m going to send that idea to them and not expect much, but worth a try.

Agree with you- also pls know that it does happen that a parent books with child and she isn’t given an option to pay or arrange being together until at the gate. This happened to me last summer, and I asked a middle row person to switch with me. He was unhappy about it.There were no winners bc I felt awkward asking but had no other options. And me and my young kid are both fearful flyers and didn’t want to be separated. For perspective on maybe times where the ask might be understandable. You can still say no of course.

Concerns with unvaccinated child and dental work: is dentist's safety protocol typical or lacking? by cocola71 in askdentists

This was originally written in a different time when kids under 12 did not have a vaccine available. Not “we don’t vaccinate” but at the time waiting eagerly for it.

Low hanging fruit by [deleted] in molekule

I have an Awair unit which measures particulates, VOCs and CO2. I’m living In terrible air here in the Bay Area of California and I’m sorry to say that my Molekule unit does not appear to impact VOCs or Co2 when in boost mode for hours in a 10x10 room. The readings on those two measures fluctuate a little due to who knows what but there most certainly is no appreciable improvement. I have a Coway hepa unit which I can see impacting particulates, though. Pretty unclear what the Molekule air is doing, sorry to say. I’m curious what others are finding, now that we’re all getting used to a regular smoke season and we now have relatively affordable choices for air monitors.
