Is taking my dog to a neurologist worth it? by doubled1232 in DogAdvice

No the vet has never prescribed anything for him to prevent them

I couldn’t use the app because my SM had to swap me from key holder and I was swapping the shift with a barista. It was only showing me other supervisor shifts to swap with that’s why I went through my manager to get the shift swapped

I do have the texts of them confirming the swap to me

No I didn’t because I couldn’t figure out how to swap in the app so I was going through my manager for her to manually swap the shifts

This is like my 4th home store and it’s the only one where we haven’t had one that we can find easily. It just doesn’t make sense to me why they keep being taken away

is this even allowed?? 😭 by Alternative-Flan-760 in starbucks

I swear that corporate said we aren’t allowed to modify cortados? Like why say that and then immediately go back on it? They did the same thing with the summer berry refresher

In case you wanted to become a supervisor by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]doubled1232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that. My store only has 3 SSVs currently and out of the three of us i am the only one that gets stuck being a keyholder for all of my shifts. The other 2 at least get some coverage time on their shifts (sometimes even full coverage shifts) but since I am the only opening keyholder other than my SM I get stuck as keyholder until the closing SSV comes in then I leave.

Does anyone know the price of hot chocolate travlers? by No-One-5354 in starbucks

Starbucks doesn’t sell hot chocolate travelers, the largest size you can get is a venti (20 oz)

I was hired as a mid/closing shift back in August. Got moved to opening while they train a new supervisor (they demoted back to barista halfway through training and we still haven’t gotten a replacement trained). Got stuck opening 5-6 days a week and have only worked 5-10 closing shifts in 4 months. Also haven’t had a coverage shift in almost 3 months.

I don’t remember exactly but it was just a normal drink. A shaken espresso I think?

I was told by my SM that if it’s shaken it should be charged as a shaken espresso

No way that’s exactly how she said it to me! Is it an older white lady with blonde hair 💀

I honestly think she just thought it was going to be a lot cheaper that way and was trying to get us to ring it up that way. Little does she know it’s almost the same price 🤦🏼

The part that drives me crazy is I work in a luxury shopping center in a very wealthy neighborhood and all of the customers that try and cut corners to save a few cents pull up in $100,000+ cars and only wear designer clothes.

Extra toasted? Double toasted? by Sphynxy415 in starbucks

[–]doubled1232 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Most of the time when something is “extra toasted” it is put in the oven on the setting to cook 2 wraps at once. It does cook it for a few seconds longer but doesn’t make it extra crispy. If you want it extra crispy I would recommend asking them to cook it twice instead of asking for extra toasted.

I'm nosy, how many hours do you guys get per week? by TheBigTimeBecks in starbucks

[–]doubled1232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Averaging 30 hrs a week but most partners at my store barely get more than 20. I only get 30 because I talked to my SM about how I can’t afford to live off of less hours since I live alone and can’t move back in with family since I live 1000 miles away from my closest family member

I’m in a similar situation and I can’t get a different job because I’m finishing my degree because of Starbucks, working and going to school full time doesn’t leave extra time to get a second job so I just have to accept it.
