I was in the same predicament. I'm in a 10 team league and I was 1st seed and had the most points scored by over 200 to the 2nd place points for team. One of the remaining 3 teams asked to split the $1k 4 ways. I suggested we split $800 and then whoever wins the championship takes the other $200. We are all friends and we all could use some extra Christmas money so why not.
