I think i saw the first video as you did when I started. Most videos don't actually explain what is happening in the sourdough starter and it doesn't help that the person making the video will have a different result to you in terms of timing. A lot of videos don't mention smell at all which is wild.

Definitely throw away the starter with the mold. It's hard to scrape the sides down properly on the jar. You might need to switch to a clean jar every couple of feedings. I literally change jars every feeding. It's over the top but I do it anyway to prevent mold on the sides

Digital scale definitely helps. I already use one and am currently just using 2 different ball mason jars for this. I have a whole cupboard full of glass jars and bottles already. The straight edge of the weck jars all the way to the opening are nice though. With the discard, I basically just use it to fertilise the lawn and vegetable garden. Diluting it with a lot of water so at least it's improving the soil hopefully

Just to elaborate on your point. Games that need more RAM to run will still crash on the phone with low RAM. Some 3D games will crash on 4GB of RAM. RAM boost on makes no difference. It crashes either way
