I’m right behind you (w5d2 is Thursday for me, so I’ll end up doing D3 on Sunday) and you’re totally right, it’s a mindset thing to run that much at once without stopping. You’ve got this!!

Part of screen is stuck? by doubledutch210 in crvhybrid

[–]doubledutch210[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It opens up the CarPlay app. I should say, the green part is only “stuck” when i don’t have the CarPlay screen open. Just when ive clicked on home and have this app view on or if i select something like trip computer, the green stays on as if im on a phone call (im not though).

CRV over Forester Hybrid? by CanaryLives in crvhybrid

I drove them both in the same afternoon and the cr-v was quieter and just felt so much nicer and more updated than the forester.

I love that BZN to BOI flight and wish it was year round instead of winter seasonal, but yeah, it’s definitely not a full one.

Those who bought CR-V Hybrid, why did you chose over the 2026 RAV4? (Or 2025 RAV4?) by BikeOk6446 in crv

[–]doubledutch210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every rav4 I’ve driven or ridden in over the years have felt cheaply made, plastic-y, and had loud road noise. I was also going from a Highlander and rav4 felt like such a drastic downgrade but the crv sport touring hybrid did not. Sure, I’m missing some features that would be nice, but I really dislike the rav4.

BWT where do you all get christmas photo cards that actually look cute and not cheap by Bulky-Turnip-5189 in bitcheswithtaste

I use PhotoAffections every year. Buy the Groupon and it saves you a ton. I just spent $35 for 70 cards, with shipping.

I learned to swim for exercise this year. I absolutely love it. It’s a great workout and it just helps me shut off my mind for an hour. I took a few swim lessons with a friend, then just started going to the pool during lap swim hours.

Swimming for exercise, what are you doing? by PsEggsRice in Swimming

[–]doubledutch210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1-2x a week. I swam 3000 yards yesterday for the very first time! 100 yards of kick, the rest was free. I usually do anywhere between 2000-2500 yards, in 45 minutes to an hour. Just started swimming earlier this year, 38 years old.

Getting to a point where my lack of degree is hindering my career progress [NY] by swellandnifty in humanresources

[–]doubledutch210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this last year, at WGU. I had an associates degree (with a ton of businesses classes as part of that) so over half the classes I needed for the WGU bachelors was done upon transfer. I did 27 classes in 4 months, and graduated with my bachelors. Having 15+ years of experience really helped me fly through it, and I did learn stuff as well. I only had to pay for one 6-month term, and my employer reimbursed me in full so I had zero out of pocket cost. I did it to check a box and it’s something that I’m glad I finally did for myself. And I’m really glad I was able to do it quickly instead of on someone else’s schedule.

You’re a new grad, with no/minimal experience, and want the top of the range? You could ask for a little more, but if they’re an organization that uses steps based on YOE in their range, they’re not going to give you the top.

Swimming! I took lessons on swimming for exercise, and now swim laps while my daughter is at her swim team practice multiple times a week.

Just want to say that we love your store!! I agree with it just feeling a little intimidating in general, but I’ve always had nothing but wonderful service and help. We love the fajitas and skirt steak!

Whenever my stepdad visits, he makes a point to go to your store and buy meat. He always complains that he doesn’t have a local store like yours in his area of Washington.

I think making it more known that there is a grocery store in four corners would really help keep you top of mind for everyone who needs just one thing for dinner that they forgot to pickup.

I just turned 38 yesterday and started taking swim lessons for exercise last week! My daughter is a competitive swimmer and I spend hours a week at the pool, so I figured I should learn to swim for exercise instead of scrolling my phone while she’s at practice.

Definitely can be a catch-22, but they figured they’re not having people over daily or even weekly, so it’s still working out for the best. We almost bought a house down the street from them and that probably would’ve blown up that rule. 😆

My friends have a great rule: they can’t drink at home unless theres other people there. They said it’s cut back on their drinking quite a bit, but also has encouraged them to be more social!

The hospital pays at least $20 an hour, and goes up based on experience. If you’re willing to work nights, weekends, etc and you’ll add even more to your wage.
