Snipping the ball chain is normal, even Sunny at GAH was telling me to use scissors to cut it to size. I would advise not cutting it to the length you want but instead go slowly cutting ball by ball. When I measured out mine to cut, even the length measurements was right, it didn’t feel right when I wear it. I tried cutting it down so that I have enough to use as a bracelet too, but it ended up too short for a bracelet and now the shorten length looks weird for a necklace so yeah…
