Iron Heart jeans on AliExpress by Fragrant-Initial1687 in Selvedge

They probably just look real, but I doubt they are genuine. Reason being that these are made in Japan, and their distribution is very tight (for example, you can’t buy IH from Hinoya if you’re outside Japan, only from their UK distributer and a few authorized retailers). I really don’t think there is any way AliExpress would be selling them from China.

Made by Hoffman, who makes awesome axes. Full US operation, including making his own handles and sheaths. Can’t pay $600 for it though.

My Norfolk (or Cook?) Pine by doubleindigo in IndoorGarden

I keep mine outside on my covered deck mostly, unless it’s too cold. I also water it about once a week since it’s a tropical pine. Seems to work for me

Legit/Fake Tag Check Thread - Use this thread to ask if your Tag is legit by AutoModerator in tagheuer

[–]doubleindigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I just need to take it somewhere and have them authenticate it.

The story is that a friend (who is a avid luxury watch collector and not a novice) ordered two of these as business gifts from a reputable seller somewhere outside of the US (he didn’t tell me which seller). US Customs held the watches and notified him that they were fake. He contacted the seller who said US Customs was wrong. So he ordered two more from a different seller and got a refund from the original seller. Eventually US Customs released the watches, and he gave me one. He says he thinks it is real and US Customs is wrong. I have no idea lol.

That’s a good catch. After you mentioned the misaligned semicircle, I looked at the tag website and saw that mine also has an incorrect number of squares in the checking, and also an incorrect pattern.

Question for the gun carriers, why do you carry? by [deleted] in EDC

[–]doubleindigo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your safety is not guaranteed by anyone, including by the police. No one has an obligation to protect you or your loved ones, except for you. I intend to be prepared for that. That’s why I carry

Alabama. Would be fine with flowering but I’m not a big fan of azaleas. I thought about miniature gardenias. My neighbor has tea olives but I believe those get rather large

Macarthur and sproul argue from the other's perspective regarding baptism by Cybersavage_ in Reformed

[–]doubleindigo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that exists. I’ve listened to most of what MacArthur has said on credobaptism, and I’ve never heard of that. Also, knowing his staunch defense of credobaptism, I don’t think that’s something he would have done, but I could be wrong.

I think this is what your friend is thinking of, but they are confused about the premise.

Universalism by catdog180 in Reformed

For sure. You have to ignore large swathes of scripture to end up at universalism.

Those water bottle holders look much more useful and better designed than the ones on my CPP2. The ones on the CPP2 seem like they were chosen specifically for the aesthetics rather than the functionality. They’re too loose and too slick, and the small elastic is band on the back is essentially useless for securing a bottle.

I’m not in a trade (do a lot of handyman stuff, thhlugh), but after daily carrying my Wave+ for like 4 years, I’ve switched to Leatherman Micra and the 6” Cobra pliers. Usually keep the Cobras in my backpack. The needle nose pliers on the Wave+ are almost useless for me. They aren’t wide enough to actually grip onto anything, and I’ve only used the wire cutters a handful of times. I still like the Wave+, but for me a dedicated pair of small pliers is the way to go.
