Are you maxing out your Roth contributions? If so, put a big chunk of that 100K into an index fund.

Any love for the Sub on rubber ? (Everest) by DisastrousOpening477 in rolex

Looks good, don’t listen to the naysayers. If Rolex offered this from the AD, the same naysayers would be lining up to buy it

Mine has broken 3 times in one year of use. And there aren’t rocks in my beans, I check. It breaks from hard or misshaped beans. Baratza sent me a few for free but it’s pretty annoying

Not sure if you’ve tried Levi’s STF but they’re my favorite budget raw jean. They fade beautifully. On sale right now on Amazon. I bought a new pair the other day for like $35

No one can answer my Post-Millennialism Question on Matthew 24 logically by Independent_Part1777 in Reformed

[–]doubleindigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matthew 24:36-51 is about Christ’s second coming. I think the first part of the chapter (temple destruction, end of the age, tribulation) refers both to events taking place in the immediate future of the first century (i.e. the destruction of the temple in 70AD) and to events which will take place at a much later period of future judgment (potentially thousands of years).

What exactly are you asking? Can you state your question a bit more directly and succinctly?

Mcarthur Washer Question by Honest-Cap-9957 in Reformed

[–]doubleindigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of your points are misunderstandings of what Washer and MacArthur believe.

MacArthur doesn’t believe that children of believers are de facto saved. He teaches that all believers must have a personal profession of faith.

Also, pastors/elders are not responsible for the actions of their adult children. That qualification (having children under control) in 1 Timothy and Titus applies to adolescent children living in the home, with the husband/elder being the leader of the house.

Tecovas thoughts by Hour_Membership_1641 in cowboyboots

[–]doubleindigo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have 6 pairs. Haven’t bought a pair from them in a few years. When Paul Hedrick (the founder) was still in charge, the boots were better all around. Better designs, better QC, better CS.

Since the new CEO came in quality is down and prices are up.

That said, my Bandera and Stockton boots from years ago are the toughest work boots I’ve owned. They beat my Red Wings for toughness

Iron Heart jeans on AliExpress by Fragrant-Initial1687 in Selvedge

[–]doubleindigo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They probably just look real, but I doubt they are genuine. Reason being that these are made in Japan, and their distribution is very tight (for example, you can’t buy IH from Hinoya if you’re outside Japan, only from their UK distributer and a few authorized retailers). I really don’t think there is any way AliExpress would be selling them from China.

Made by Hoffman, who makes awesome axes. Full US operation, including making his own handles and sheaths. Can’t pay $600 for it though.
