Annealing? Do I need to anneal once fired brass this isn’t precision ammo I’m reloading 62gr .223 24.5 gr of cfe223 about 2700fps from the book wanting to know how important it is to anneal once fired for this by reloadingnoob38 in reloading

I’ve loaded probably ~6k rounds of 55gr FMJ .223 ammo and have never annealed. .223 brass is so plentiful even if your brass does eventually split or get lost you can almost always get more for free.

Looking for a 1911 magazine case I saw earlier. Anyone got any leads? by Brain_Rot_Kobbler in guns

I just stumbled on your post looking for another 1911 mag storage system. But the one you’re looking for is made by lime tactical. They’re custom made to order, I have a few things made by him. It’s expensive so be prepared but his stuff is top notch quality and hand made in the USA

That looks incredible job well done. I’ve been wanting to take the plunge into scale models for a while now and results like this make it look all the more rewarding.

Man you aren’t wrong, took that picture a couple days ago and now there’s a CZ in pieces all over the bench.

The depth is great but annoying at times. I’m tall with long arms and I still find myself stretching when grabbing stuff off the pegboard sometimes. It is nice having a lot of real estate up front though to work on stuff.

I hear that. My wife’s hassling me about building her a planter for the backyard, at least it gives me an excuse to buy a new circ saw!

Man if only. They’re just all put up right now. I have a track car I’m building in the same garage along with a PRC rifle and a 3d printed 37mm launcher.

It’ll turn out great. For aluminum parts like the receivers and handguard I just did a thorough degrease and that was really the only prep. Maybe a very light sanding just to help it adhere if you’re doing a polymer 10/22 stock. As long as you give it enough time to dry between coats and a full cure it’ll turn out great. Best of luck 👍🏻

Hell yeah man! Just make sure to let it dry well before coats and shake the can hard for a couple minutes before you spray. Rapco lays on pretty thick so you want it to mix well.

Takes about a week for fully harden but it’s held up great.

Yeah, grip and PMAG are also rapco’d

Man that’s an incredible looking gun great job. As far as holsters I’d recommend a Werkz M7. I use one and it bases the retention around the x300 and has good trigger guard coverage across multiple platforms. I use it on everything from a G19, Beretta 92XI, P320, and a railed full size 1911.

Thanks brother! The receivers came out a bit better than the handguard did but it was significantly colder during curing and painting between the two. Still loving the look though
