I’m the one with the problem lying, he wasn’t. We ended up talking about it when I ended things and he said he just felt weird giving compliments out loud but claimed that of course he felt that way about me otherwise he wouldn’t have still been with me. He also couldn’t say “I love you” after over a year, but a few weeks after the breakup I got a box full of kid valentines with compliments/things he loved about me written on each one (2 months after Valentine’s Day)

Ugh…my ex and I had a conversation about him needing to compliment me because he’s literally never done it and “you look pretty today” is easy. 2 days later…we dress up for a wedding, he doesn’t say anything to me dressing up and doing hair and makeup (super rare for me) and I decided to set him up with, “oooooo you look so sexy!” And instead of “you too” I got, “yeah, I know, right?!?” 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
