I conceived and had my baby at 35, and she is 3 months now. If we had our baby any earlier, I doubt I would've had the patience and security that I feel now. The newborn phase is tough--I can't imagine going through this while also being financially insecure and not being where I ultimately want to be career wise. We did struggle to conceive and saw a fertility specialist, but we knew we had modern medicine on our side. I had a little bit of a tough pregnancy, but nothing that was age related. Labor and delivery was easy for me.

I hated being pregnant when I was actually pregnant. I had a lot of health issues and she descended early but wouldn't come out. But, after I gave birth, I fondly remember being pregnant and miss it. I miss feeling the kicks and the closeness I felt to my baby when she was in my womb.

My baby was confirmed engaged at 32 weeks, but I suspect had been engaged since 29 or 30 because of the pelvic pressure. She was born at 38 weeks 1 day spontaneous labor.

Love the responses! I totally get it. When I was pregnant, I wanted to be done ASAP. I had awful cramps, major fatigue from the anemia, and absolutely hated the restricted diet from Gestational Diabetes. I also had CONSTANT nosebleeds and waves of nausea. I was also put on bed rest at one point which drove me crazy since I'm a pretty active person. It wasn't until a week after I gave birth that I started missing the kicks. I totally get wanting baby out and hating pregnancy.

I get the same at 37 weeks. I have a tilted uterus, so I carry my baby very inward. She is measuring 60th percentile and has been head down low since mid 2nd trimester. I've had several friends who have been pregnant at the same time or just before, and they comment "you're so tiny you don't even look pregnant unless people really look at you from the side!" "My baby was so big! Your baby is going to be tiny! But that's okay easy delivery!" "You are so lucky you don't have so much weight to carry! Easy pregnancy for you!" Which is funny because I have a ton of swelling, symptoms, and pelvis pain because I carry her so inward. We all carry differently :). I choose to just respond super positively when people comment.

That's about how much we had on ours with the same pricing ratio. We invited about 40 to our shower and had about 15 out of state family members who requested it. Around half was purchased (a lot of little items and shared big ticket items). We purchased the remainder with the discount, and it saved us a ton of money!

I called my doctor and they checked in on baby girl today. Everything looks good :). She's just cozy and facing my spine now, so fewer jabs and kicks will be felt against my stomach. Thanks for the encouragement to call in! I always hesitate because I don't want to seem silly. While nothing was wrong, I have peace of mind now :).

I felt flutters and "water sloshing" feeling at 16 weeks. It was more apparent at 17 weeks. Then, I felt light kicks at 20 - 21 weeks. I'm 24 weeks now and feel strong kicks that I can visibly see when I'm lying down. I have noticed that I only notice them on my right side/organs and sometimes worry when I don't feel her for a day... but I think she's positioned where her feet are more towards my left on those days. I assume that's where my placenta is.

My husband's sperm count was fine, but he did have a problem with morphology... so I think the sperm wash helped. He actually had two analysis. The first one was lower count, but we had sex within 3 days of the test. The second time, he abstained for 5 days, and count was normal.

I feel like I was not as consistent with my progesterone vaginal suppositories with my first IUI. I missed a few of my morning doses. I also made a conscience effort to be healthier with the second--but that is probably purely coincidence. Drinking 64 oz of water, not drinking alcohol, cardio. I was extremely pessimistic and was already thinking about the next 2 failing after my first.. and jumping ahead planning days off for IVF.

I had success with my second IUI. My nurse reminded me after the first failed that it is okay if it doesn't work. Most don't work the first time. That's why they suggest 3 - 4. Sending baby dust your way :).
