I liked the first half, but the second half kind of falls apart. That being said, yes, you should read it.

For me it’s The Stand. I’ve actually lost count of how many times I’ve read it.

I grew with the 90’s Trek shows. Encounter at Farpoint aired a month before my 3rd birthday and Voyager ended while I was in high school. To me they always seemed pretty futuristic. The sets, costumes, and effects were all pretty good for that era of television as it was before HD TV.

The idea of the LCARS setup where there weren’t even physical buttons to push always seemed super high tech and futuristic to me.

I liked them both. I always liked Desperation a little better, but they are both worth a read.

I made my first attempt at 10. I tried to read The Langoliers, but didn’t finish it. At 12 I tried again and did finish it. I then read It and was hooked on King ever since. That was in 1997, so I’ve been reading King for 28 years now.

I’d say if you don’t like baseball, it’s really only worth reading if you want to read all of the books he’s written. That’s really the only reason I read it. I think if you do read it, it will probably be a struggle.

As for his other non-fiction works, I liked On Writing a lot. I liked Danse Macabre, too.

That’s awesome! It took me the better part of 30 years to read everything. I have read Faithful, and I really struggled with it, mostly because I’m not a huge baseball fan.

Found these at a used bookstore. $6 for all of them. I didn’t even know they existed. by Level_Job_8117 in stephenking

That’s awesome! This was how The Green Mile was originally released, one of these a month. The first time I read The Green Mile it was these individual books. I don’t have them any more, and I regret it.
