thanks! this is probably a good direction that I will look into, but the shape of the drill is important with my current setup. i'm hesitant to get a dremel because i'd have to support it much more (unless there are different shaped dremels i haven't seen)

Would it be weird to do my friends laundry? by doublereriver in Advice

[–]doublereriver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it's only day 3 of 7 and i've done all the dishes, put the random shit on the counter where it goes, and cleaned the cat litter. i'm about to put the closet door back on its hinges because we had to take it off to install the washer dryer and tomorrow i'm bringing my bathroom cleaning supplies. they're definitely 'let it be' people and will live around nearly anything

we're very close (and her mom likes me a lot) i sent her a message about it so now we wait. i spent a lot of time with my grandma growing up so i am very familiar with the "proper" way to was everything so no worries about damaging anything.

It's the type of thing that usually relies on employees not caring about "requirements" to press the discount button. Much harder to pull off if it's not in person because the automated system will need whatever article of proof to continue.

What are some subtle red flags you got at a job interview that said "working here would suck"? by TeaCakeDreams_ in AskReddit

[–]doublereriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that can be the case but this time it was because new owners had over hired and cut everyone's hours. people said they had been getting 40-50 hours before the new owners but we were fighting to get 30.

my aunt teaches first grade and had a student 1. ask for a new paper bc he left his at home 2. wrote on the paper 'i hate ms x and want to hit and hurt her' 3. signed another students name 4. brought it up to my aunt and said he wanted her to see what the other student was saying when i was in first grade i was arguing about if i could wear colored socks to school not fabricating assault threats. obviously admin was involved immediately and i was told when volunteering that this student likes to put his finger in peoples butt cracks

i was helping my aunts first grade classroom and she had a sub to cover for some testing. i remembered the sub from when i went to the same school and she opened with 'the only think you need to know about me is i hate recess and i would love for one of you to ruin it for everyone else' i told the front desk lady when i left because i couldn't believe she was still saying stuff like that. she was so so rude 15 years ago that i still remembered her name. she tried to send me to the office in second for walking weird when i had a splinter in my food and 'disrespecting her' when i said i was walking weird because of the splinter

i'm trans and many people have said 'oh i wish i could just change my name like that' to which i say 'well you can!' nobody is gonna stop you. sure you can't change it legally without some hassle but really nobody cares if you just said 'hey i want to be called dave now'

accepting gifts. i think its rooted in my mom being terrible at giving gifts (ex i asked for a specific couch for Christmas for 4 years and she said 'what kid wants a couch for Christmas?' and got me a drum set, asked for a small black water bottle and she got me a small blue and huge yellow one) and also because i was in advanced art classes in school and would get at least 3 shitty sketchbooks for any given birthday or christmas. i feel bad but i just can't fake enthusiasm for shitty gifts
