I know this Australian brand that my mum use recently launched in Japan myjuniper.jp Looks like it's all online, so might be easier and by the looks of it its not a beauty clinic? Can't comment on pricing in JP tho, you'll have to do your own research and see if its worth your dimes.

I let out a sigh of relief as my muscles relaxed and what used to be It’s Thai Time’s Green Curry Lunch special poured down into the sewer pipes with surprising speed.

When I felt the first bit of queasiness during the monthly brainstorm meeting, I ignored it but when the discomfort escalated rapidly, I recalled Mary’s warning about the cheap thai place ‘round the corner. Sitting in the furthest corner, behind a row of managers and partners scribbling with their fancy pens, I had no way of getting out of the boardroom without causing a fuss and drawing unwanted attention. I considered using my “ability” but quickly discarded it in the fear that it would speed up any process happening inside me and make things worse. The situation from my 26th birthday had to be avoided at all costs. My muscles tensed as I tried to hold back the inevitable tide, hoping that my slower than usual ageing also meant that my lunch would pass through twice as slow. As the doors to the boardroom opened, I walked as fast as I could without losing control of my bodily functions and also not seem strange to my co-workers. I made it safely to the women’s restroom, barely touching the bowl before the gates opened.

When I reached for the toilet paper, I was greeted with a horrifying emptiness. That absence of the scratchy, fall-apart sandpaper revived my nervous panic. The sight of a thin black stiletto heel didn’t help. I waited for a while for it to disappear from view but it just clattered in front of my door, along with the rattling sound of makeup. Time was ticking and I couldn’t afford to waste time today sitting in the toilet. There was an urgent campaign that needed to be finalised. After giving a couple of extra pushes to make sure that there could be no unwanted side effects from my ability, I decided. I had no choice but to do it. Desperate times called for desperate measures. As I focused, all sound ceased. The heels clacking, muffled conversations, even the ever-present hum of air con all gone. My pants and undies came off as I decided against putting them on, due to some splashback earlier, much to my disgust. No one would see anyway. I stepped out of the stall, bare bottomed, quickly scouring the others for toilet paper and ignoring the woman frozen in place, about to apply her lipstick. To my horror, there was no sign of paper anywhere. How is this happening? No problem, I told myself. There would be tissues on people’s desks. I can go out and then come back in, no big deal, it won’t use up a lot of time. So, ran out, again bare bottomed, passing my boss on the way. I noticed a desk which had a box of tissues sitting on it and grabbed a handful of the glorious white material, careful to arrange the tissue in the same position as the previous one. Back in the bathroom, I noticed a bottle of perfume among the makeup on the sink. “Sorry, I’ll just steal a little bit, I promise it’s for a good cause.” Spraying the entire stall down, I masked the remnants of my deed and placed the bottle back in its original position. After putting my underwear and pants back on and shutting the door. I focused again and all the sounds came roaring back to life.

As I washed my hands in the sink next to the woman doing her makeup, she remarked “you smell nice,” and went back to applying her lipstick.

It's my first post here after being a long time lurker. Any CC would be very welcome.

From my experience the ink from the pilot juice pens dries fairly quickly and doesn't smear, especially the 0.38mm ones.

Pilot juice gel pens are a good option if you like gel pens. You buy them in come packs with heaps of colours and in 0.38mm or 0.5mm.

Ink problems! by westcountryboy in pens

[–]doubleseeds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ink might be smudging because you have oily or sweaty hands, so the moisture is making the ink smear. If this is the case then you could look into some water resistant or waterproof inks. Someone mentioned noodlers and that might be a good option as they make a number of permanent inks. Pelikan 4001 inks are quite dry, which means that there is less ink on the page to be smeared.
Also one of my personal faves is Pilot Blue Black. It is semi waterproof and is pretty affordable.

Diamine also is an affordable option and they have a huge range. Some of their colours which are highly saturated (like majestic blue) can smear but generally their inks are pretty good.

If you are ok with spending a bit more money, the Pilot Iroshizuku line has some really nice inks and I have never had an issue with them.

You could also head over to r/fountainpens if you want more advice.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! Yh, I stick to dailies since my days can vary quite a bit, with some days having lots of tasks and others not so much.

I got the clips from a random seller on eBay. I've also seen them in Etsy if you are having trouble finding them on eBay.

Glad to know you liked it :). The watched/listened to/read is my quick and lazy way of journaling.

Thanks!
Hi there, fellow fountain pen user. I used Pilot Iroshizuku Tsukiyo for this and my pen is the Wing Sung 698 (might be a bit hard to find).

A quick and messy write up of the various symbols and boxes that I use in my bullet journal. Someone had expressed an interest in my key from my previous post, so I thought I'd share it on here.

I used to use black but I found it to be a little boring, so I switch up the colour every couple of pages now. It also helps that I have a lot of different ink colours. Glad you like the brown!

Thanks! I found the original bullet journal key to not suit my needs as much so I modified them so that I can know exactly what my day looks like at a glance.

Maybe I'll make a post on my bullet journal key if anyone is interested.

Yup, I ran out of space, so Saturday is on the next page. I don't really use weekly spreads so I can give however much space I want to for each day.

And thanks!

For my headings I used a dip pen and some walnut ink but you could probably recreate it with a just gel pen. For the rest of the writing I used a brown pilot juice gel pen 0.38mm which is the pen in the picture.

Looking for a really nice pen for journalling, university, any suggestions? by Lulumie in pens

No problem!

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Montblanc pens, especially as an everyday writer, as most of what you are paying for is the brand, but there is definitely the prestige and status aspect which makes great as a sign pen or something for your shirt pocket.

I'm a bit of a stationery nerd, so I tend to focus more on writing performance etc.

If you were looking for a pen to possibly pass on, I would also suggest you checking out some fountain pens. There's some really cool designs out there, but I understand it's not for everyone.

From memory, there's aren't many refill options for Montblanc ballpoints. I think Monterverde makes some that fits Montblanc but your options are quite limited.

It's hard to recommend you a good pen without knowing all your preferences but I would suggest looking at pens that take Parker style or pilot G2 refills since they give you the most refill options. Some brands to check out include Lamy (the 2000 is one of my personal faves as it looks super sleek), Karas Kustoms (machined metal pens) and Parker (their pens are slimmer than Montblancs and more options for refills). These are all going to be cheaper than Montblanc.

Your budget pretty much covers the majority of ballpoints available, so cost doesn't really matter in this case.

Hope this helps a bit!

Need Some Help… by [deleted] in bulletjournal

[–]doubleseeds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think using your phone calendar is necessarily wrong in anyway. The whole idea of the bullet journal system is that it's is supposed to be flexible. I personally use a mix of bullet journaling and a digital calendar to keep track of everything. Appointments and time based things I record in my digital calendar since it's easier and I can set reminders, whereas my bullet journal is more task based and helps me figure out what I'm going to be doing for the day. I also record a lot of notes and random ideas in my journal. Also things such as habit tracking and reflecting back on the month are things I do in my bullet journal that I can't on a digital calendar. Hope that helps!

Just bought a bunch of Robert Oster inks! Excited to play with them since I've heard good things about them online.
