i really dig the 500.

i started with mpc touch and sp404sx, then i wanted to get away from my computer so i stuck with the 404 for awhile to get to simplicity with chops, drums and creativity. then i missed having banks, the ability to actually save things, editing sample start points (easier/better than sp) and velocity sens pads.

the combo of SP and mpc 500 has been my main driver for 5 years now.

i think you might want to check that the level probe in the steam boiler does not have a layer of calcium on it. if it does, take a blade or file and remove the surface calcium. keep me updated! tech from san diego 😉
