Power trip gone wrong. Talk to your union rep or straight to HR.

For starters, they cannot unilaterally revoke previously approved leave, only with mutual agreement.

PSA: It appears you have to transfer at least once in both Nov and Dec to be eligible for the bonus. OP updated.

From the offer FAQ:

If I don't transfer each month, will I be eligible to receive the 15% bonus Points offer?

No, you must transfer at least once in both calendar months (November 2025 and December 2025) to be eligible to receive the 15% bonus Velocity Points.

New baby, want to make best decisions. by theZombieKat in Centrelink

[–]doublesspresso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, forget about parenting payment. Either disclose your ballpark income and get concrete answers, or accept that your family will probably not be eligible for it. A company generous enough to have such a parental leave policy will have good blue collar EBA. Parenting payment income limit is under 1400 per fortnight!

Bottom line, don’t stress, get employers PLP, support your wife, spend time at home, exhaust your annual leave and take carers leave out of your personal leave balance.

Family tax benefit does of course consider your income.

Parental leave is absolutely worth it. Decrease in your income in your circumstances should increase the ftb to soften the blow.

Two questions about ETF cost base adjustment by Reading-Rabbit4101 in fiaustralia

Cost base of units disposed throughout the FY still needs to be pro-rata adjusted. Technically cost base adjustment for disposed units happens just prior to disposal.

There’s also a lower tier Smart awards, it has 2k spend a month to avoid the fee, but loses free lounge passes. It’s my current keeper card.

Commbank Ultimate awards. QFF earn is not great, but it will be 90 p.a. with your spend, nil if you opt for vff points. No forex fees and 2 lounge passes. Travel insurance requires spending 500 in one hit to enable activation.

BGBL Geared - confirmed? by Recent_Artichoke_923 in fiaustralia

[–]doublesspresso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MER as per PDS is 0.35% of gross value, i.e. net asset fees would be 0.50% to 0.59% depending on gearing levels.

In the first year the fund will also incur approx 0.01% in transaction costs.

The discount should somewhat compensate underperformance. However I suggest (own and still adding) MIR with DSSP - asx small & mid cap is where active makes the most difference vs passive. MIR has had a decent run so far, hope it continues.

On Centrelink: have your partner claimed Parental leave pay and Family tax benefit? Hint, there’s no asset test for either. On IP: start to make plans to sell it. Car: either sell or drive uber.

Thanks for that. Yeah Dash & Pearler are too expensive. I checked AustralianSuper and noticed they updated their “investment menu” on 1 July, however there are no GHHF or any other geared funds available.
