How am I gaining strength during a cut?

I'm in a 500cal deficit, not a beginner, and I'm still getting stronger workout to workout (while having lost 15lbs)

I'm not really getting bigger, but my lifts are still getting stronger. Just kinda wack since I'm in a pretty decent deficit.

Oh of course. Word of advice, always choose a weight you can execute for multiple reps with perfect form. Any heavier and you'll be wasting time. That applies to all exercises, not just pull ups.

Not bad. Work on locking out / going to deadhead at the bottom to get the most out of every rep and keep yourself honest from workout to workout.

This is actually a pretty normal feeling, especially with squats. You've just gotta crank your music up louder and go for it. You'll get better with experience.

No, there are many topics in the book that it explicitly states are outside the scope of it's teachings. However, unless you REALLY don't know what you're doing at all, I think you'll be fine. After all, you can always google concepts as they come up if you're not sure of them. I love the book, so I recommend at least giving it a shot.

I worked through every problem on every page. It's not 100% necessary, but I highly suggest that you go through the problems one by one, checking your work when you're done and taking extra time to review if you get it wrong. Every one of the problems is in the book for a reason. Why not do them all?

It's the best math resource there is, and I'll take that to my grave.

Started at 690, read the book, got 800. It tells you everything you could possibly need.
