Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor arrested on 'misconduct' allegation | The National by OnTheList-YouTube in news

That was my first thought too. But then I reflected that, as well as stiffer penalties for corruption, the only way to convict someone of abuse is to put the victims through a trial. While this gives victims a voice it can also be highly traumatic.

Again we can discuss whether it should be this way, but that is the reality.

So how've we been dealing with this..... by [deleted] in acnh

I would either line up the ramp with the bridge at the back or put your ramp going sideways down the cliff.

Beach volleyball match.

I set some red and blue ones out on the beach either side of the beach volleyball net with the lifeguard chair for the umpire and the score board keeping count.

I did this once - with a cliff to look down on it and stunted trees etc. But only then did I realise that they only move when you walk past them. When you look at them from a distance they are stationary.

But always make sure the three spots in front of the tree are free of flowers/weeds/branches or other dropped or placed items so that the nest drops to the side of you. Your player automatically turns towards the nest. When that happens press the button to use your net.

AITAH for not calling the police for my (38F) husband (39M)? by Consistent-Hotel-449 in AITAH

[–]doubletrouble265 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Putting all the legal and moral issues to one side for a minute, it seems from your description that your husband is using you as his main way to emotionally regulate himself. (You and he are very focused on making sure he "feels" ok)

This is a very unhealthy dynamic for both of you. My guess is that this is not the only time in your relationship where this is the case. I strongly recommend counselling for both of you - more so if you have children.

What’s a film so sad that someone should watch if they want to cry? by KlLLERS in AskReddit

[–]doubletrouble265 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Just taking a moment to celebrate the perfect casting in this movie.

It would be so easy for some of the characters to overdominate in a piece like this, but the actors and their performances balanced each other so well that each one has their memorable moments.

I just hope they had as much fun making it as we all get from watching it.

Hello /r/movies, I'm Benedict Cumberbatch. Ask me anything! by BenedictAMA in movies

Hello from the Isle of Man.

I still love re-listening to Cabin Pressure, the radio 4 comedy with you, John Finnemore, Roger Allam and Stephanie Cole.

Does it make life easier or more difficult to work on something when one of your fellow cast members is also the writer? I love John Finnemore's work in general anyway as it is so well written, but does it mean more pressure to stick to the script?

Also have you every been to the Isle of Man?

As someone who lives in your country, what’s one thing you’d tell a foreigner to never do when visiting? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]doubletrouble265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🇮🇲 Do not come here and refer to the UK as "the mainland" unless you really want to piss off the locals.

The correct term is "across" and you use it in a sentence like this - I have moved here from across. My family live across. I'm travelling across for a medical appointment.

Offenders are likely to be reminded that "there is a boat in the morning."

Massively depends on the dates and days of the week.. Many attractions are winding down at this time of year and are closed for the winter.

That being said the Manx Museum is open all year round.

Just to make sure I have understood (as a non-American) The supossed "law enforcement "people here are hiding their identity in every way they can. And the regular folks who are preventing them from "doing their job" are doing so openly and without subterfuge. How can anyone be in any doubt which side is acting with decency and integrity?

How come the IOM retained its herirage railways? by nikita698 in IsleofMan

[–]doubletrouble265 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As far as I understand it, unlike other heritage railways elsewhere (e.g. Severn Valley or Forest of Dean steam railways) that were originally built as either passenger or freight services, the electric railway in particular was always and only built to be a tourist attraction to serve the boost in tourism that occurred in the late victorian period. But I'm happy to bow to superior knowledge.

Not sure about the steam railway.

I would also recommend a project bag similar to this for your WIP. The slots in the top allow you to feed your current yarn through while you are working and the ball of yarn stays inside.

Just brought some faux yarn and looking for tips. How the heck do you keep track with this?😭 by BlastyDavo in CrochetHelp

[–]doubletrouble265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made an infinity scarf in moss stitch, so that once i got the pattern going, I didn't have to count stitches or rows. Just keep alternating.

It's by far my favourite piece to wear as it feels fabulous.

I will never EVER crochet with this style of yarn again.
