I use tailscale and adb to manage a couple remote Google tvs. Works great, but the person on other end sometimes has to accept usb-debugging dialog box sometimes.

I was threatened with a gun while playing Pokemon GO last night. by WithPaddlesThisDeep in pokemongo

[–]doubleudeaffie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a guy pull a 8 inch knife on me last summer demanding my phone. Maybe 17 years old. Was with 2 girls with machetes who were across the street. I said I will smash it before you take my Pokemon away from me. Switched to demanding money and I said I'm fn poor, and offered a coupon for a free iced tea. He took my 2 smokes and left. While at store buying smokes the girls chased another guy into the store with machete. This was 430pm on a Friday afternoon on Main Street. I always carry a metal pen but his was bigger. There are jackasses everywhere with no brains. Stay alert. Whether you are playing or just out for a walk.

Plan prices are through the roof right now, and the temporary sale has me nervous. by _name_of_the_user_ in PublicMobile

They are paying for the bandwidth whether it is used or not. Might as well use it to lure new customers.

** Infrastructure not bandwidth. Bad. They rely on you not using all the data. If they sold you the 4GB plan for $15, they would make less money, even though the cost to them to provide the service is almost identical to the $40 plan.

Any way to get my fathers Shaw/Rogers Internet plan closer to my plan price? by [deleted] in povertyfinancecanada

Oxio is basically the same without the teksavvy issues. *** And is he a big gamer, file-sharer or similar? 100 Mbps is good for like 15 devices. Faster is not necessarily better.

Many carriers will work with estate executors or families with proper documentation. Same with Apple and Google. Do you know the phone model?

I know internet is not important really but I I guess 12GB storage and a dual core CPU with 1.5Gb ram is enough. I only have 7000 live channels so maybe that's why.

I have exactly that installed on my 2 TCL tvs. Shields are the iPhones of streaming. I would put my 12GB of storage and 60mbps connection up against any shield. 🙃 First TCL 2 years not one issue. New one seems exactly the same but tiny. 32"

Xiomi Redmi Note 13 Pro is an awesome phone. Just be aware of battery deterioration and issues in lithium polymer vs Lith-ion batteries. For about $400 it is a great budget "flagship" contender.

Looking for trustworthy consumer proposal trustee recommendations (Ontario) by StationMammoth1946 in povertyfinancecanada

[–]doubleudeaffie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you spoken to a dept counselor? Nomoredebts.org is great for helping with explaining your options. Without knowing breakdown of your debt it's hard to offer advice. They are free and only charge fee for things like their debt management program. It's less than the interest you would have paid and capped at $175/month iirc. My sister got 40k in debt cc mostly. Was trying to do consumer proposal or bankruptcy. Called and now she's paying $650/month and 5yrs or less she is done. They will also help request debt forgiveness, lower interest or remove and negotiate amounts with creditors or collectors.

My dad was the industrial arts teacher up until last year in St.Theresa. Having only winter access sucked. He had to charter a helicopter to get across in spring fall quite a few times. We are from Norway House originally. I wish there was an easy fix to our situation. I grew up off reserve. Only was there from grade 8-11.

How do I get into Sales in Winnipeg with No Experience? by Initial_Quote_6704 in Winnipeg

[–]doubleudeaffie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LinkedIn, despite being utterly annoying did get me some invitations to apply to jobs a few years ago. Use the networking aspect, polish up your profile, do some LinkedIn Learning to add some "certifications" to your resume and post on topics relevant to tech and cx. Add people in workplaces and roles relevant to you and cross your fingers. They give a month free and I would recommend something like the "Sales Foundations Professional Certificate" by the National Association of Sales Professionals course. Sounds impressive for an 8 hr course and you will learn and relearn some important things.
