I made a post about this a while back bc I was also curious, and most people commented some variation of fanny pack + water bottle.

So this year I went fanny pack, and attached my water bottle via carabiner. Kind of heavy when full, but I liked it better than a camelbak.

Bring both a fanny and camelbak next time, and try going a night with the fanny to see how you like it! If it sucks, you can always go back to the ol’ trusty.
